Anyway the two new game modes are Assassination and Total Conquest. In Assassination, one player on the defending team is randomly selected to play as the VIP and must be safely escorted by his teammates to a spot on the other side of the map. The attacking team wins if it kills the VIP.

Total Conquest is a lot like the territories mode found in Halo 2. Scattered around the level are three radar installations that can be captured. If your team controls a radar installation, you begin to earn control points. The more radar installations that you control, the faster you accumulate points. The first team to hit the designated victory level wins.

Is there any way to play the mode that allows you to advance in rank while offline, or is it strictly an XBL mode, because we do not have high-enough speed internet to connect to XBL where I live, so I just thought I'd ask cause it sounds hella fun.

Only over XBL, but in the single player mode, you can still unlock the weapons by picking them up in game. (only for single player.. if you ever play online, you will be the lowest rank to start with and will have nothing unlocked) Unfortunately, you can't get armor or custom stuff like in online. One cool thing though is that if you ever do get online and create a custom avatar, you can use it in the single player stuff.. (I don't know if you can in campaign, but in the other game modes I am pretty sure you can if I remember right)

Also, if I do happen to beat you keep in mind that I don't own an xbox and have only ever played this game on other people's xboxes. DS says he has played with you though, and from what he tells me I am pretty sure I could beat you. I will be using his XBL account when we do this.

If the pistol thing happens to fail me and you are better than I thought, I guarantee I can beat you with a normal weapon. Just saying I could 'probably' beat you with a pistol.

Well, keep in mind that DS has only played with me in T hunt, not any VS modes, and it's hard to win all the time when you play with people who aren't on the same page as you. I'm not a fan of sharpshooter, so that's why no one see's me in those rooms.

I usually play Assassination, which is fucking sweet as hell. I urge everyone to get the red pack so they get that mode along with the new maps, which are awesome too.

Terrorist Hunt on LVU is the easest mode to get points. Especially if you Sheild/Pistol it all the time.
