There are two problems in that suggestion:

1. Owen's death was an accident.

2. Eddie had cleaned up his act and was taking care of himself; time just caught up at an inopportune moment.

Angle is basically asking to die, and that's where the tragedy lies. You're right, there chance of his expiration is incredibly real. The thing is, his won't be a fluke.

You're overthinking.

Though on Owen, Kurt's death will doubtless be an accident. That's a stretch, but it wasn't my intended analogue, either. Just saying, you know, if you really want to overthink it.

He came to a mutual agreement with WWE that his body is wrecked and that wrestling was going to do him serious harm. He was given his release and then went on to say that he wanted to really take some time off to recover and try to repair his family problems.

The next week he had signed with TNA, and went on to claim that Dixie Carter is a better busines mind than Vince McMahon, that TNA is going to surpass WWE in a matter of months, and that he can whip anybody's ass in MMA. He's also said a bunch of other stupid shit, but I can't recall it all right now. He's going to work himself to death in the ring, and he doesn't seem to care.
