But, in unfortunate seriousness, music, movies, tv, and games all in general are going to get the blame once again.

Interesting how millions of people can listen to music, watch TV, and play games without killing somebody yet whenever there is an event like this we need to ban it all because it's the cause of all things evil in the world.

This fucked up guy's roomate is probably set for life if he plays his cards right. A quick book entitled, "the VA Tech Killer was my roomate" and just describe how this guy was as a roomate/the things he'd do. Instant $$$ and will never have to go to school again.

I'm not saying it would be entirely ethical to profit from 33 dead people... but I'm betting the demand would be there.

Probably worldn't be too ethical but it doesn't mean it won't happen. I suppose you get donate half your profits to a charity or something and you'd still be rolling in dough, plus you'd wash your hands of negative publicity for profiting off of tragedy.

I don't think anyone's dumb enough to blame wrestling of all things in this, anyone who does will be scoffed at even by non-fans and the biggest critics and mockers of wrestling. Simply because its so irrelevant and pretty much absurd.

I could see them relating it to violence. But that's about as far as it goes.

Now if the Pillman gun incident or the "Bang 3:16" incident were around now then they'd have more than that. It doesn't make it legitimately relevant, but it's more relevant than generic violence.

Those two incidents are good points, but still yes I think anyone with a brain (fan or non-fan) won't take any kind of link or accusation of responsibility between a mass shooting and professional wrestling seriously.

You overestimate the mass of media and society.

There is very little, if any, link between pro wrestling...or video games...or movies, music, etc...and acts of violence. All those things are merely scapegoats to shift responsibility somewhere else.

Also remember, Stone Cold used some guns when he got fired on Judgment Day and came back the next night after Vince.
