That's far from typical.

Which is why they only need a little charisma. All they need to beat is a dying cow with minimal rassling skills.

So take a wounded (can't really have a dying cow...gotta think long term) cow, have her limp around a ring & occasionally fall over and pin someone, and strap a belt around her neck and she'll draw better than Trips? Hmmmmm...it just might be crazy enough to work.

Also, considering that UPN being a free channel actually means that its available to more viewers ( which is why it tends to have better ratings than Raw ) so if the WWE looked at it that way, they would emphasize the show more, push the ratings up, and be able to demand more from their sponsors. That's just common sense speaking, of course.

Yes, it would be another over rated big wrestler for Vince to put a belt on.

Am I hearing this right? Should I stuff that corncobb up my butt a little more so I can hear this right? I think I have to restate my comment from earlier where I mentioned that if I had an anvil crush one of my nuts I'd at least be glad that I had one left. Well, if I won the lottery but it was only a million bucks, I wouldn't be pissed that it wasn't 100 million. For months now (the months that I've been on this board) and for the couple years before that, this website has fostered a belief that if all of the "main event hogging backstage politicians" were on Raw, Smackdown would be the Ace of Spades when it comes to wrestling. THe minute they do so, this damn topic comes up and everyone jumps on the bandwagon saying that despite its better wrestling, Raw is better. Make up your minds.

Dude, are you seriously like a mark or something? Do you honestly think that the draft was real? Like it just so happened that Cena walked up and pulled HHH's name out of the thing and he went to SD? At what point, then, did HHH say (off-camera, mind you) "Hey, I don't want to be on this show. Steph, I'll eat you out if you put me back on Raw with Evolution so they can help me cheat." Has it become clear to you yet that I'm mocking you, or should I pretend to be a character who is mocking you on TV so you'll believe it? I bet it'd be a shocker for you to see one of these documentaries that break kayfabe. It must be so damn confusing to see arch enemies wish each other luck before a match.

Basically, you started out with the general knowledge that HHH and Stephanie are married, HHH isn't much liked by many internet wrestling fans, and that Stephanie has some sort of authority behind the scenes. Then you mixed it with what you see on TV, and you assumed that HHH didn't want to be on SmackDown because he would be away from his Evolution buddies and so he went backstage and cried to his authoritative wife.

Truth be known to you now, son, HHH doesn't need Steph for crap to do anything. He probably offered to be drafted on the show so it'd make for a big shocker before the second commercial break, and because he felt more inclined to work on Raw, he probably had a discussion, long before the draft took place, with the writers to trade him back to Raw inbetween shows. ...No bitching. ...No crying ...Maybe a little eating Steph out, but I'm sure it was unrelated.

He's pretty much a mark but he's not that ****ing stupid.

Do you actually believe that HHH married Steph just because he loved her?
He knew how much pull he would get backstage just from marrying her.

Yeah, I understand that, but nowadays he doesn't necessarily need to talk to Steph to get anything done. I'd say he's got just as much influence over the company now (if not a little more) as she does, so there wouldn't be any need to go crying to her if he wanted something done.

The thing I find funny is why on Smackdown cole, tazz and that god awful josh matthews always push SD as the better show, especially when they hype the PPV's, eg. they put the holly v lesnar match from Royal Rumble over the last man standing match, when it was so obvious that it would come before it. And also after WMXX matthews gave detailed descriptions of every SD match on the card, and then just stuck the triple threat on the end, and that was the main event!

While we're at it, how stupid of Smackdown announcers to hype their show as the better show...

notice how Raw announcers do the same thing? Or how Eric calls Raw the flagship show?

I wonder if it could have something to do with the fact that they're trying to play up that each show is better to the fans of that respective show...Especially when they were hyping an inter-promotional card with cross-promotion matches?

Naw. It's stupid.

I don't get how people can call for more people to advance and become major players and yet whine that RAW is more heavily stacked with main eventers.

The lack of main eventers on Smackdown will lead to people advancing up the ranks, just like everyone has been whining to happen for years now.

Raw has a far more important feel to it, probably due to the fact that it's live.
IMO, Smackdown is the superior show. I don't have Sky Sports anymore, so I can only watch Smackdown and Bottom Line, but if I did have SS, I still think i'd give Raw a miss every Friday night.

Live shows aare OBVIOUSLY better.

And the fact that Raw has always dominated the ratings just goes to show that.

Has it become clear to you yet that I'm mocking you, or should I pretend to be a character who is mocking you on TV so you'll believe it?

I really hate ppl like u... u take something someone says and turns it into something else and trys to make someone look like a dumbass by putting words into there mouth. i was just trying to make a joke.. soo shit man quit trying so hard to make someone look bad u bitch

Anyway, back to the topic... Based on the spoilers, this week's show will suck. Is there anything else on?

Soap Opera? I get exactly where you're going with this, and I have to object. Maybe Shawn Michaels trying to settle his score with HHH while still trying to get his title back is soap opera material, but OBVIOUSLY Stephanie trying to protect the little one legged boy from her evil father who has issues with his own self esteem that cause him to send endless armies of big guys to beat down the poor defenseless little one legged boy, and little Stephanie goes to his side and cries, "Please, daddy, the little one legged boy has so much heart. Please don't hurt him anymore!" is totally wrestling material. Its obvious that anyone who enjoys watching wrestling would find Smackdown a far superior show because it doesn't have any of that pointless backstage mellodrama that Raw has.

(This is the most recent storyline from SD! that I can recall, because after that point I gave up on the "wrestling oriented" show in favor of the "soap opera")

Even if Raw seems more like a "soap opera," it's still the better show. Watch Smackdown tonight, then you'll see what I mean. It's gonna suck.
