I like this SIDRA guy.

Ultimo praise aside, tho, Kurt Angle wins. Thread over.

Dragon held 11 at the same time. That says more to me than accumulated titles. And also on a technical bases makes him the most decorated Pro Wrestler ever. (I don't think we will see anyone else holding that many titles at one time again anytime soon.)

Ric Flair held 16 World titles, 9 Tag, 2 TV, 1 IC, 5 US, won the 92 Royal Rumble (Also the only time the WWF/E title was decided in a RR match.) and got a slammy, all over a 36 year career. All in all about 33 titles, (Give or take, I know I'm not spot on, but I'm close.) to the Flair name.

Now the thread dose say ATHLETE so by literal interpretation. By literal I men the legitimacy of the titles in relation to real athletic combat. (I'm not blasting wrestling for being fake, I have much respect for it and it's heritage, this is just my humble opinion.)

Ken Shamrock was the first King of Pancrase in 1994, the first UFC Superfight Champion (Holding that title twice.), and was the first World Mixed Martial Arts Association Heavyweight Championship. On top of being NWA Heavyweight champ, WWF IC champ, and WWF Tag champ.

Then there is Brock. One could argue he is the most legitimacy decorated athlete to ever have been a WWE wrestler. As he is the only man so far to have been both the WWE Champion (3 times) and the UFC heavyweight Champion (Current). Cementing him (Again only my opinion here, but it's open to debate.) as the first person sense the likes of Georg Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch to prove himself as the real deal when it comes to wrestling. Add to that his 97, 98, & 99 ND State-U annual Bison tournament wins, two Big Ten Conference wins, 2 time NJCAA All American, and his NCAA Championship. Brock, like him, or loath him, is the real deal.

Do you see my point? Triple H could win 30 more WWE world titles for all I care, he wont ever of been both a WWE champion and a world champion professional fighter. That to me, makes Brock Lesnar the most decorated "athlete" ever to have been in the WWE.

Kurt is a close second for me due to the Olympic win in 96 and all. Now if he would put his money where his mouth is and make that jump to MMA like he's been talking about for how long now? There is an off chance he could do it to. But at 40 years old and with is heath issues I don't know if he could pull it off. It would be a "Rocky moment" if he did... If you get my point.

Overall I think quality trumps quantity in terms of "decoration." Some Champions could win the title one time and make it a more memorable championship reign than another with 16 or 30 different titles to there name. Yeah they've been champ a bunch of times but what else have they done? Why dose the number of titles mean anything, especially if that is all they can be remembered for? It is what legitimizes them that is important. It's what makes them, to steal a line from Triple H, that damn good.

Peace,
ABC
I'm not arguing with what u said as I was short on time and didn't read it.

What I'm interested in, is ur name Sidra, and u sign off saying ABC. Did ur parents not like u? Did u sign up with the wrong name? Or was one of ur parental units a big Jacksons fan?

At least ur not another taker707.
