Yeah but it was still crap if you think about it. Terrible wrestling, campy angles... it was a real dung pile... it was during a hot time though, and they did some basic things right which kept it afloat.

I want to believe that the wrestlers feuding want to rip each other's heads off. This is probably my biggest gripe of them all. I used to love tuning in to see HBK get his ass kicked by Bret or HHH by Foley or Vince by Austin or Kane by Taker or the Outlaws by Foley/Funk or Booker by Rock. The wrting lacks these kind of passionate feuds

Which leads me to the inconsistency of booking. The WWE does this all the time. They fall in love with a guy, give him a nice push and then totally pull his legs out from under him. Punk, MVP, Orton in the past. It really confuses the audience and kills any kind of "superstar" perception they may of had for a particular wrestler. I understand some guys just don't have it, but guys like MVP and CM Punk?

These are just some of the things that kills the shows for me personally today

And to that Not Booked Poster, did you watch WWF 1997 at all? Come on now
The one thing I noticed more than anything else when I have seen snippets of RAW is how contrived the commentary is. It is so blatantly obvious that they are reading off what they are told to say and it completely ruins the match for me. "These two competitors are both bright spots in the company and have shown it here tonight in this match. Also don't forget to watch Carlito's Flamer Fest show on WWE.com. Talk about outrageous!" Fucking pisses me off so much that I want to punch a woman.
