Maybe. I've just never seen a women's match that couldn't have been done 10000 times better by men. I understand that sex appeal is part of it and that's why alot of them have jobs but I could turn it to any other station on television really and see scantily clad women all over the place. When I watch wrestling, I want to see wrestling.

Well, considering I never really watch much from other promotions, I don't think I'll be going out of my way to watch a bunch of women's matches.

What? I'm not saying that there aren't good women's matches in feds that aren't mainstream but I generally don't really watch other promotions. It's not even a "I don't watch anything but WWE" attitude, it's more of a time thing. I'll catch TNA once in a blue moon but that's really it.

Besides, my comments were made more towards women in the WWE. Women's matches are generally piss breaks.

I think WWE Diva's matches have made a lot of progress in the last ten years. We don't have women in bra and panties, we have women that can actually wrestle (for the most part), and we have matches on a regular basis. None of these things happened ten or even five years ago. The notion of using women as sexual objects to sell tickets is pretty deeply ingrained in the minds of the mainstream wrestling fan. Undoing that thought process is going to take a lot more years of Trish Stratuses before people stop seeing it as the piss break match.

This is the attitude I was talking about. Most wrestling fans are programmed to hate women's wrestling, so much so that the term "piss break" has become a cliche.

Granted, some of the women in WWE aren't the the best athletes, but sometimes they will pop out a good match, but you will never hear about it because everyone is on a "piss break"

It is not my fault or the general fault of the viewers to see these matches as a piss break. We've been conditioned to view women's wrestling as a complete waste of time by the WWE, not by our own accord. I feel like the WWE owes me some money for all of the bra and panties matches, gravyboat matches, and french maid pillow fights I've been subjected to over the years. The women's title is generally booked on the undercard, is never really made to seem like it is worth much of anything, is constantly switched back and forth between talented and non-talented ladies, and we are encouraged not to watch the actual moves but pay more attention to the "puppies". The WWE has made every possible effort to make sure that Women's wrestling is not taken seriously. What do you want me to do here?

The WWE has been making lots of efforts to "class up" their Divas wrestling. They don't have the slut matches anymore. Yes, the title is on the undercard, but is also on a PPV more often than either the US or IC title (or both). As for switching the title back and forth between talented and untalented people, I guess that never happens with the men, right?

They need to gimmick up the women's matches. Like ladder matches and stuff. I've seen Beth and Katie Lea do it, there's no reason the likes of Mickie, Maryse, Michelle, etc. couldn't too.

I do have my own opinion, you guys just don't like it. I think Women's wrestling is a complete waste of time and money. I've already explained to you all why. Am I not allowed to think this way?

I never said that there isn't a good women's match once in a blue moon because there is. But why should I not view WWE Women's matches as a pissbreak when they have like a 10% success rate? Maybe they are trying to class it all up again but it's just going to take a little more time before I can start taking it seriously again after all they damage they did to it over the years. I've had as much halloween gavy pillow panties on a pole matches as I can handle here.

Once again, I'm not saying any of you are wrong for liking it. I just don't and think it is a waste of time. Maybe it's time to be more accepting of those with conflicting opinions?

I think you're right. I don't think Women's wrestling gets a fair shake these days but it isn't my fault of the fans faults for thinking it's inferior. WWE made a complete joke out of it for almost a decade.

No, I think you guys are either misunderstanding what I'm saying or are just trying to get a rise out of me. WWE rarely gives time to Women's matches, rarely has talented ladies competing (which is getting less common these days but you still have alot of useless Divas around), doesn't make a big deal out of Women's competition, and tells us to pay more attention to the ladie's bodies rather than their in ring skill on purpose. They basically set them up to fail before hand. I don't take the division seriously because the matches are subpar, there is no character development (not in all cases, but generally), and the people making the program don't even take them seriously.

I'm saying that over the course of the past 10-15 years, I just haven't been interested in the matches or the way that the entire division is portrayed. I'm not saying that these Women do not have the potential to put on great programming, but they really aren't even given a chance to do so. Alot of you think I'm saying that Women in general can't perform and that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying that the way the division works and the amount of time they are given to perform, it's nearly impossible to be taken seriously. I haven't. I usually only watch WWE and I never really see great women's matches the way that the division is. I know it's much easier to paint me out as sexist than to really listen to what my actual point of view is but come on. lol

Somehow I enjoy the womens matches WWE puts out there that deserve it, and how you ask? I watch them and give them a fair chance. Im not blindly letting the WWE years of conditioning me to dislike something on site. If that were the case I would take a piss during tag matches and crusierweight matches too.
