Once again, the only reason I "risked it" was to trying to get the videos up ASAP.. I thought it was pretty clear that the night of fights spoilers were to be marked.. Specially when I was merely trying to help people out.. I guess I won't do that anymore..

nah, I'm not saying it's your fault and I like that you posted the videos because I would of went there had I'd not seen the show. I'm just saying personally I stay off because I've run into accidental spoilers hundreds of times between wrestling, UFC and whatever

This isn't a fucking sport. This isn't a competition. There is no sponsorship, or merchandising, or fiscal situations occuring at all.

Posting at a forum is not akin to legit sports, no matter how you try and find justification to this 'analergy'.

Nobody wants the videos in here as soon as the fights are over. They either have seen the fights live, or know where to look to see them. They are never posted that soon after a show. The vids have dates and times next to them when they are posted on the other popular, well known forums that they always appear on. You can see it is usually 4-5 hours post show.

We want to come online and talk about the fights. as they happen, after they happen. When it is on our minds and at the forefront of what we wanna talk about. This is the MMA discussion forum, not the MMA bullshit stats world, or the MMA video archive. It's a discussion forum. And you lambast someone for posting in a thread about a fight after a fight.

Tell me this, was Rob to wait for you to post in this thread, declaring that you, or better still, waiting until everybody has PM replied to you asking whether all the regs here had seen the fight before this particular discussion continued?

Nobody opened a thread declaring anything regarding the outcome of the show, or in any other thread for that matter.

You dissapear for months and everything is cool, you are back and 'moderating' for like, a week and laughable bullshit becomes the talking point.

I don't give a fuck if you are a mod in this forum. It was better without you. So why not take your rules, and moderate someone elses forum. This is about the posters, not the moderators.

Ok, LC wants the videos, but you still took about 8 hours longer than MMA share to get up the same vids, and that still doesn't justify what made you come to THIS thread out of all of them.

It restricts the flow of conversation on a message board, at the point when the conversation is going to be at it's most active.


Wrestling board spoilers are in effect from when a show that was recorded and the results were available until it airs. There are no spoiler warnings for PPVS. and why would there be? It is not my disposition to wait until you have bothered your arse to watch things repeated whilst you are lurking around here, restricting what I can talk about until you do.

At least pretend you see it from the other side of the coin.

And you say you are protecting the same issues for other people, they have either not come here, or they have and havebeen unanimous in saying that such a rule is stupid and that it is your fault.

You weren't going to find the video's in here.

rules aren't created to suit a rulemaker with no common sense. I have retorted to every point you have made, and you could only respond to the easiest one to argue.

Find me 5 people who agree with your spoiler rule, and I will have nothing else to say on the matter, in the mean time, a good poster has been banned due to a rule in place purely to suit the moderator, who is obviously a dumbass, based on what has occured.

He was not banned for that.. He was banned for throwing a hissy fit and spamming the forum because of ONE edited post.. It's not like I flamed him or anything, I merely said, "Come on, dude.. Watch the spoilers.." and he turned into a little bitch..

He was only proving a point, in a joking manner. It was always going to get cleaned up, but Funky asked him not to be a dick at the same time as banning him is OTT.

I bet I could find more people in favour of a Rob Harvey freak out than in favour of the Kris P spoiler rule.

yea, I like the videos because like I said before tpww is my first source for MMA stuff, so it makes it easier.

On the spoiler issue, I've always kind of held Rob's stance. I don't mind people talking openly about something that's already happened. if I don't see it, I just won't come on the internet or avoid people I know that would spoil it for me

I just always had the issue with things being taped and people spoling it before it actually airs live

mmashare.com are usually amongst the first places to get them uploaded.

Never failed me yet. They were all up within 4 hours of the show ending.

I know he is technically correct. He is the mod and made the rule. But my arguement is some people watch the show live, and have to be careful how we discuss it after because he isn't watching it until later, whereas everybody else just doesn't come to the MMA forum.

Because shockingly, people will be talking about the most recent developments in MMA. The whole purpose of the fucking place. The entire premise of changing how we discuss the current developments of the sport, because 1 guy wants to come here and not even discuss these events, but read things he MUST have read only a few hours before the show, because he was online 30 mins before it started.... WITHOUT following the most recent developments, is just so ludicrous.

Alright, since I banned Rob, I may as well speak up here. IMO:

-Krispy is overreacting here. People spoil shit on the internet all the time, with or without rules in place. Shouldn't have come into this thread before seeing the fights, since that was likely to happen.

-Rob acted like a child spamming up the forum to get his point across. It's one thing to argue your point. That's fair enough, but that kind of juvenile shit will not be tolerated, especially by someone who is a former admin. You know better, Rob, so that's why I added the ban. I kept it short because it's not the end of the world, but I'd rather not have to clean up a spam tide every time someone has a disagreement.
