Look at the films that were released under Miramax after they were bought out by Disney. Films like Pulp Fiction.

I'm sure Disney won't be silly enough to ruin Marvel, what would be the use of buying it and then ruining it.

Seriously, I highly doubt there's going to be any difference in any of the Marvel properties. Warner Bros. has owned DC for years, and you never see Batman and Superman teaming up with the Looney Toons. Disney owns tons of companies that aren't strictly for kids (Miramax in particular), so the idea that they're going to start messing around with the comics or even the movies is extremely unlikely.

That being said, I would not be surprised if they started pumping out some more animated series for the Disney Channel. Which isn't exactly a bad thing; Spectacular Spider-Man was the tits, as is Wolverine and the X-Men, and they're both family-friendly shows.

Absolutely agree with you, which is a shame because some characters, such as The Punisher, will not work in a PG environment.

However, the first Punisher film sold well in DVD sales, which is why they went with another film. Maybe Warzone did well enough to justify another one?

You did see Warzone, right? That movie is straight out of the early 90s. Cartoon villains, Xtreme henchmen, ridiculous ultraviolence... it was a recipe for disaster.

The violence in warzone was fantastic. And I thought the character was represented better than in the first also. Beyond that however, the first was still a better movie.
