Basically that I liked watching Benoit and apathetic toward HBK as a character, but acknowledge that he's an amazing performer.

I don't think it's that. It's just pretty much been accepted by most wrestling fans that HBK is one of the greatest of all time. Using "far better" just makes it seems like you're trying to be a dickhead and that you're trying to "get under people's skin". Let's all calm down here.

He may be overselling his stock a bit but he has a point. There was a typical lull in the crowd in any Benoit match (except at times during his WHC run), followed by the crowd coming to life when he busted out a German.
