I didnt read the thread but here goes. If you can't afford to play video games, then don't. If you feel the need to steal in order to get your fix, then I'm pretty sure you need a new(cheaper) hobby.

It's less "because I say so" and more because it's not theft. Redefining things to make them sound more serious is a great way to garner support for your cause, but that doesn't make it true. If I told a 'pirate' I enjoyed playing a game he burned on a disc, making sure he knew I didn't actually buy it, I'm betting he wouldn't say, "Thanks for helping me out." Not all bootleggers sell pirated things. If a friend or family member does it, and you get the copy, you're supporting piracy. You didn't pay anything for it, no rental charges, etc.

It's still piracy man. I'm not condemning you, I'm just saying.

My bro would come over and boast about his "5 games for 25$ shipment" and rib me for spending 60$ on one of those games. He pleaded that I leave him the same amount of money with a list of "whatever I wanted". I refused. He had a hook-up ready to mod my old Xbox for free which I refused. All 6 or 7 times he asked.
