Panthers are already being picked to go back to the SuperBowl in 2006.. The Bucs are a young, tough team with a steller D, and awesome running game.. The Falcons have been a playoff team who until around week ten, were a major NFC threat last year.. Also, with the moves the Saints have made in the offseason, thewy have one of the most impressive depth charts in the entire NFL..

Take it for what it's worth..

I actually think that any one of those teams could win that division this year.

And yeah, EVERY team looks good on paper before the season gets started. It's not until the injuries, the poor coaching, the missed tackles, etc, until you see which teams are the ones that truly are solid and have the most depth.

I refuse to take ESPN seriously after they put out that half-assed season preview on SportsCenter two weeks ago.

It's a possibility.

Let's say that Pittsburgh's losses in free agency make them a weaker football team, Cincinnati is left without Carson Palmer, and Baltimore is just as mediocre as they were last year.

I like Romeo Crennel and think that they've had a nice offseason, nice enough that they could possibly steal that division if those aforementioned actually do happen.

I blame the stripes. You put a bunch of black men in the same striped uniform and they're already half way there.

As always. Except for the Raiders, and the Chargers, and the Broncos. They suck.

DrA is right on point.

For the Giants, the season rests on how well Eli can play and if he'll be consistent. The rest of our offense is good (cause I mean c'mon, who can say Tiki isn't just nasty?) Our defense is going to be really good this year I think, I'm sayng top 5.

Yeah, definately. If Eli's hurt, the season is over. Tim Haselbeck, Rob Johnson, and Jared Lorenzen will win 1 game, at most.

What I'm eager to see is the difference on offense and defense. The offense we know can gel (they'll have the same starting 11 coming back this year), but on D you have a ton of new faces. If they can gel, you've got one hell of a defense.

Why do they keep hyping a Larry Johnson 2000 rush season? No way he gets 2000, just because he played half the season and had over 1000 yadda yadda yada. He'll have a solid 1500 yards, and that's about it.

Do they still have Omar Easy at Fullback? He played high school ball like 10 minutes from where I am from, I don't really remember it too well since i was pretty young but I've heard stories. He used to truck dudes while he was playing for PSU too, haven't seen much of him in the NFL tho. I know he was Richardsons back up for a while though.

Nah he will probably get 2,000 or really close. People say that he can't because he only started 9 games but he had a couple of close to 100-yard performances in games where he came in during the 3rd quarter or something.

I'll go ahead and mark T.O down for 4 td's and 305 yards.

You won't see it happen.

Sam Madison is past his prime yeah, but he can still ball up. The other corner spot is the weakest position, where we are either going to have Curtis Deloatch or Corey Webster (who I think has great upside.) Will Demps and Gibril Wilson are two very solid safeties, and are both up and coming in the NFL.

TO is probably the best player in the NFL on the field, off the field is another story. The Cowboys do scare me indeed, because they have weapons at every position. So TO is definitely going to help that, as well as it will help him. He is good, but not god.

Yeah, you guys are fucked. The Vikings on the other hand, when Brad Johnson gets injured we've got a top backup in Mike McMahon.

Are we talking shit now? Is that whats going on?

Because THE ARIZONA CARDINALS (if their OLine is decent and their D can stay consistent and can avoid injury) WILL WIN (if not this year then possibly the next and probably the one after that) THE NFC WEST

Denard Walker. But I think he's finally done. He was a waste for far too long, making more money in a year than some of us will ever see.

But I understand, the CB pool is so dreadfully shallow that a piece of shit like him can make a living... but at a low-demand position like Fullback, yeah, you gotta be Jimmy Kleinsasser or Tony Richardson to get paid.

Fuck, imagine MN's running game if you line up Jimmy next to McKinnie and Hutchinson and pull Birk with T-Rich lead blocking. Triple A would rush for 1,000 yards behind that.

How is that guy lame though? If he was good enough to make it in the NFL he is a really good football player. Even if he gets no burn at all, just being on an NFL roster is ridiculous. Also, Walker has 465 career tackles, so I dunno what you are talking about.

Walker's been in the league for like 15 years though, and I bet 80% of those tackles came after the catch was made.

Anyway, maybe he's good as far as corners are concerned... but like I said, that's a shallow talent pool. High demand, and corners are used up and tossed away faster than punters.

He hasn't even been in the league for 10 years yet (About to be his 10th season upcoming) but your point has nothing to do with my original point. I said it is crazy to see dudes who tear it up in HS and have good success in college barely play at all, I am sure this guy tore it up while at LSU. So now if this is "lame" like you claim he is, then that just makes my point for me. He was probably a successful CB while playing in college now in the NFL he's a bum.

I just think there's something weird that changes from college to pro... there are some people who are just sick in college who never even get a whiff. And a lot of these players would dominate, but teams just don't get it. Take John Randle for existence. He had nothing.

So why not take a chance on someone like Jason White, who is a proven winner, and an intelligent player? In the WCO he'd probably dominate. That's what doesn't make sense to me... and then a player like Michael Bennett who has very little football (lol I said basketball originally... of course he doesn't!) skills will be taken in the first round, why? Because he's really, really fast. Well let's draft sprinters more often, then.

On the point about Bennett, its obvious that sometimes being the best football talent doesn't always guarantee that you're the best fit for someone's NFL roster. I mean you guys are all smart enough to know that, but I'm just saying here that its kinda a shame because a lot of guys probably never get the chance in the NFL and could have been great. Inversely you hear these success stories of guys who rose out of nowhere to become stars, I bet just as many never even get a shot.
