Apparently he has hit performance targets that will let him void his deal after next season, much like Kerney did recently. So it's no wonder they're looking to see if they can get value for him now. They should just take Buffalo to town and get like all their picks.

Briggs would actually make the Falcons pretty legit next year I think. It's definitely a smart move on Atlanta's part since there are a glut of 1st round quality safeties that should be around when the Falcons pick.

Dude fits perfect in Chicago's system, should have just ante up and signed him (Much like the Patriots should have done with Deion Branch)
Although the Pats where 4 points away from the Superbowl so maybe Chicago is making the right move |

Keep in mind, the issue was the money per year or signing bonus, the issues was he wanted to void a year of his contract, something that no pat player has done (see: Brady & Seymore). I just couldn't see them doing things for Branch that they wouldn't do for those two. |

What I'm wondering is what happens to the Pats WR next season. They signed a guy with #1 talent (Stallworth), a legit deep ball threat (Washington) and tremendous slot receiver (Welker). So unless the Pats are planning on running 4 or 5 WR out there all the time it seems like some people are gonna be unhappy next year and we all know if there's a position that produces drama queens it's WR.

The Pats typically bring in good character players, and have a good vetran core that keeps people "in line". On a different team, word is Detroit wants to trade down from the #2, but still wants to be in the top 10. Still wouldn't be shocked to see them take Calvin Johnson at #2... cause ya know Millen can't stay away from top WR. Although, logic was they're probably looking at Quinn and think they can get him later in the draft. Oakland I think goes with Russell, unless they pull of a QB trade (see: Trent Green) in which case it's Calvin Johnson. |

All this hype that's starting to build around Trent Edwards (QB from Stanford) makes me think that Oakland, Detroit, or Cleveland will grab him their 2nd round pick.
Does Miami want Quinn? |

As for players not being happy, I don't think Washington would complain since he has never caught a lot of balls in his career...and for Welker I can't see him being the type of dude who will be getting upset plus he will be getting plenty of touches on returns. Also, I can't see Stallworth (or any of the other wideouts for that matter) putting up much of a fuss since they probably realize there is a lot of other capable wideouts on the team. |

Yah, 4 points away is right, but replace Reche Caldwell with Deon Branch in that AFC Championship game. Might be talking about another Superbowl. Thats where losing Branch may have killed your guys. |

I could be wrong, or have a biased view or whatever since I think this dude is awesome but I didn't notice Hester getting the benefit of a lot of non-calls during his returns

...No. You don't draft someone in the first round, with the 13th pick, strictly for special teams.
