Yea, and if it were up to any retired pro athlete in their 80s, they'd still be on their team. That's a given. But it shouldn't be up to him. He can't accept what every other athlete eventually has to accept: the end.

The guy can't accept that he's past his prime. The Packers needed to move on. They needed him to give an answer and stick with it, which he failed to do countless times. Still tracking.

He expects them to put up with that? He expects them to accept the fact that he's not very good anymore and can't physically continue on much longer, yet tries to?
They have to put their team and future in a holding pattern so he can continue to live his glory days and refuse to accept his age?

He's suffering from a mid-life crisis and instead of buying a Porsche he's jerking the NFL around.
He expects all that shit to fly because it's the Bret Favre show and he doesn't care about the teams he's using. Apparently he also doesn't care about his dignity, respect, legacy, or the pathetic scene he's creating.
All he cares about is the spotlight, and it really is quite sad because it seems to be a sickness for him.

It will be fun to see him throw more INTs than touchdowns though. Especially if the team inches into the playoffs and he blows it again on the last play.

You know what I love about all of this? The sports world obsesses over Brett Favre and blows all of this way out of proportion while Kurt Warner- a guy whose career averages are better than Favre's, has been to more Super Bowls than Favre, has the 4th highest QB rating in NFL history, and has the highest career yards per game avg in NFL history- just quietly goes about his business.

If I had a kid old enough to understand football, I would tell him to look up to Kurt Warner. That's how you're supposed to conduct yourself. Like a man.

Thank you. I wish Kurt Warner was the qb of my team. Don't get me wrong, I think all the Farve talk is hilarious at this point, but not recognition is given to Kurt Warner.

Outside of his god-bothering habit, I would agree with this. It just seems a bit unrealistic that God would know the ins and outs of NFL contracts to give him advise on his new deal, but w/e.

I've never really been on the Warner bandwagon, but he's def a player I can respect more than most. I still think Favre, in his prime, was a better QB. Present day though, if I was forced to pick between the two, I'd go with Warner.

There's nothing wrong with being religious. Claiming that God is giving you advice in your contract negotiations so you can squeeze the Cards for a few extra million is taking it a bit far.

yeah Namath is horribly overrated and I am a Jets fan. He has a career losing record as a starter ffs. Then again, he did quarterback the Jets to victory in the most important game in the history of the NFL He WAS the MVP too. I don't know at what point his unimpressive stats and the fact that he never did much else outweighs that...

Also, NOLA gets the SuperBowl in 2013.. They are also doing somethign like $85 mill of renovations to the Super Dome.. The NFL also OK'd a deal to keep the Saints in NOLA until 2025..

Assistant head coach and receivers coach Clyde Christensen is overseeing the offense following Moore's departure while Pete Metzelaars, Mudd's assistant, has taken over full-time position duties. Manning just blew up these new coaches we hired. Pretty funny. I agree tbh. I dont know what the fuck is going on with this retirement BS. But hiring a new O Coordinator and a new O Lineman coach is not a good thing. These guys have to come in and adjust to Manning and the Colts. They cant just bring there own system in. Especially when the system we run has been perfected and worked for the last 10 years. So how can they possibly go coach Manning and this offense? It's a shitty situation. Not the coaches fault, but Manning is right.
