How is it every year the Sharks play such dominating hockey but by the time its around 2 weeks left in the season or start of the playoffs, they fall apart like they were the worst team in hockey?

Its not like the team is full of puck hogging players or a team full of bad players and have been much better player-wise since the Thorton trade.

I wouldn't just blame Thornton for contributing to their yearly decline since they've been doing it before he was even on the team. Sort of ironic that after all the talk of the Coyotes horrible attendance, possible franchise move away from the city, financial problems, horrible yearly records and team management that they end up clinching a good playoff seed this year.

Even more surprising is the team has the 3rd most points in the NHL but has the 4th seed in the West due to San Jose being the division leader.
