LOL how could you say Stack doesn't deserve to be suspended when all the other suspensions have been laid out? The NBA has made it clear they aren't going to take ANY flagrant fouls. Haslem got suspended a game for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of a ref. Posey got suspended for a flagrant which wasn't as bad as Stack's. There was one really ridiculous one that I can't think of but it got a suspension too.

I dunno, I didn't even see how it's a flagrant when it happened really.

Jason Williams stole the ball and goes down court. Stackhouse sprints like crazy to catch up with him. He isn't too far behind, and sees Williams starting to lose speed so he runs faster. Then suddenly, Williams gives it up to Shaq who is like 10 ft behind him. Momentum carries Stackhouse into Shaq.

I just don't agree with the flagrant call, so I don't agree with the suspension.

LOL, you think Stackhouse's momentum carried him into Shaq? It's pretty obvious that Stackhouse wasn't going for the ball and was wanting to foul Shaq hard. Flagrant foul easily. Suspension? I don't think it's suspension worthy, but neither was:

Haslem.
Posey.
Bell.
Artest.

They were all hard fouls, I agree with that easily. They all deserved flagrant fouls minus Haslem, which I thought deserved a technical? This is going by the "old rules". Old school hard fouls used to get just a flagrant call and be done with it. Sometimes not even get that much. But now they are just being strict with it after the whole Detroit situation.

I thought after seeing it Terry deserved a suspension as well. Cat punched a guy in the balls, doesn't get too much more blatant than that. But, since the NBA are cutting down on hard and/or cheap fouls which might cause another brawl, then yeah I see why they suspended every one they have minus Haslem. Haslem threw his mouthpiece and it bounced off the ground. It didn't hit the ref, it didn't hit another player. it bounced off the ground.

I thought right when it happened that he would be suspended the next game after the way they are treating hard fouls.

It sucks because before I didn't like either of these teams, but now I think this is one of the coolest matchups in the past few years and both teams have players that I'd like to see win.

Avery Johnson looked like he has a T motion in his hands. It looks like Howard saw this and called a timeout. Then it looked like Johson was arguing with the refs that he had 2 TOs. I don't know. They'll have to tell me.

For some reason, Howard called Dallas' last timeout before Dwyane Wade shot his second FT, and the Mavs couldn't advance the ball because of it.

Yeah, the foul was pretty weak. I thought the other guy (Howard) made more contact than Dirk did, which all he did was have his hand on Wade's hip. There was contact but it wasn't all that bad. Wade earned the call though from what he did the previous two quarters or so. He attacked the basket and he drew the contact a lot.

Josh Howard tho LOL Definately a CWebb moment.

BTW, Avery, the refs aren't supposed to ASSUME (your words) what you mean to do. They see your guy with his hands in the form of a T and walking to the bench, they think he is calling a timeout. You could tell from Howard's face that he knew he effed up.

lol he earned the call? He either gets fouled or doesn't get fouled. He didn't get fouled, he missed the shot, Dallas should have won 100-99. So if Wade had been shut down the last 2 quarters, then he doesn't get the foul call because he didn't earn it?

Yeah I've never been a big fan of players earning calls and shit but I think what Outlaw ment was the refs are so quick to assume fouls on guys when they are driving to the hoop. It happens all the time, it just so happened this time was at the very end of the game.

Bad calls happen tho, Dirk looked like a lil bitch kicking everything in sight on the way back to the locker room. I loved how the announcers where trying to make it sound like it was a good thing "Who says Dirk doesn't show emotion!?" Give me a break, he just looked like a 7 foot 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

The good thing about these NBA playoffs is that they exposed a lot of cool teams that we don't oftne get to see. The finals was the most interesting two teams in years, but beyond that...LA Clippers: The underdog little sister, look to be better next year...Phoenix: D'Antoni plugged the holes and was still dominant without Amare...Detroit: Solid overall team with five well known starters...New Jersey Nets: Already looked good this year, might get K-Mart back for next...Washington: Exciting team in the playoffs again...Chicago: Add the No. 2 overall pick to the already growing Bulls...Lakers: Kobe is going to finally get some players around him it looks like...Caviliers: LeBron did amazing things this year, he is what, 23?

I can remember like three years ago, the West had four or five dominant teams and the East had four of five sub-500 teams. The teams I just listed (including Miami and Dallas) all were fun to watch in these playoffs, and that is something that hasn't happened in a while.

Not a bad trade, I liked Bonner but he's not that good and Rasho will do the team wonders if he can give us 20 minutes a game at the 5

The refs caused Dirk to miss that HUGE free throw as well. You know, the one that would have sealed the game up and would have Dallas up 3-0? Get out of here with your garbage excuses.

And to clarify what I was saying earlier, Stima understood what I meant...DWade never stopped ATTACKING the basket, that's how you earn calls in the NBA. You sit out on the perimeter and launch jump shots and you aren't going to get many calls. He, and most of the Heat as a team (Even Walker FFS) attacked the basket. The Mavs fell in love (DEEP LOVE) with the jump shot. That class is when you get calls and you get the "benefit of the doubt" if the contact is iffy.

But, yeah, those refs blew all those leads the Mavericks had. They caused Dirk to miss that huge clutch free throw which was the turnaround of the series. They caused the Mavs to shoot 39 (I think?) percent that last game.

wow. it's ok guys. i'm only half kidding. the refs did play a huge part with some bad calls, but the mavs did fold. i only really care because i've met cuban on a few occations down in dallas (my cousin is a friend of his - they were in the dotcom business together) and his seats right next to cuban's.

I wasn't really mad about your comment either, since I really didn't care who won this years finals. I liked the change of pace though, two totally different teams.

I wish the Celtics could get back into the finals picture, I am sick of them "rebuilding" - seems like they've been doing it every since McHale, Bird and Parrish retired. The Boston Hearld tried to make it seem like things would be different if Reggie Lewis and Len Bias both did not pass away. While it would have been different in the early/mid 90's - I don't think it'd really have an effect on the Celtics right now.

But just like Rick P said "LARRY BIRD ISN'T WALKING THROUGH THAT DOOR!"

My cousin is indeed rich. He was a consultant with Cuban's company and then went off to start his own joint... which was bought by Sun Microsystems. He then went on to found El Camino Supersystems (then sold to IBM - which is now part of their current office backup systems).
