I actually think they could benefit both guys by having Big E look strong while also dropping the title to Apollo. See if the latter can use it to tap into his true potential. Meanwhile, they could push E towards the Universal title scene and see if they can generate the same kind of hype as they did with Kofi, but not as short-lived. Otherwise he wouldn't work out well as a Universal Champion, IMO.

Match was going on well until that lame shenanigans finish.

Also WWE didn't really think this match though since if the purpose was for it to be a loud hard hitting match, then it didn't really deliver on the premise.

Dabba-Kato is reportedly getting a “new direction and makeover” before his return to WWE TV, according to PWInsider.

It’s not clear yet what he’ll look like, but his new name will be “Commodore Azeez” (or Azez – the spelling isn’t clear), PWInsider says. Commodore is a rank used in many navies, so that might be a hint for what his gimmick could be.
