So uh....yeah okay, I don't mind the new Anaheim Ducks colors/logo/etc. Kinda looks like the Penguins but okay.

And Florida just took about a million steps backwards in development unless they can seriously beef up their and/or pick up a guy like Geber on the FA market cause Auld/Mclennan + 40 shots avg a night = Getting shelled.

A few things:

- The Bertuzzi/Luongo deal is probably the biggest in years. I think it will work out well for both teams. (It might not help Florida as a team actually, because Luungo was their backbone, but the change of scenery will definitely be good for Bertuzzi, and when he is on his game, he is a threat.)

- Rod Brind'Amour signed a new five-year deal with the Hurricanes.

- Chris Pronger has apparently asked to be traded out of Edmonton for personal reasons.

- The NHL entry draft is today.

It's looking to be an interesting off-season, and I'm already looking forward to the start of the 2006-07 season this fall.

You know what I like about these jerseys? That they arent beeing unveiled in those reebok styled jerseys that the players were forced to wear during the olympics and other international tourneys. The NHL said they might have went with them..thank god they arent. I hope.

And the Pens select another centre, they now have 3 guys who can play centre on the first line, kinda of an odd choice, I'd have taken a guy like Toews who has experiance on the wing. Since by all accounts they are going to have to convert Staal into a winger.

That's right samichna, Pronger's agent has officially filed a trade request for Pronger. Peca and Roli are the other two top players that appear to want out of Edmonton. But Lowe has offered Roloson's agent a deal as he wants to secure the #1 goalie...

My opinion? Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Pronger, pretty shitty if you ask me but hey - that's how big time stars get what they want...

Apparently the leafs are the top running team for him. It's reported that Edmonton wanted Kaberle and Steen but the Leafs weren't willing to give up Steen but instead offered Stajan but Edmonton refused. There is a good chance that if McCabe doesn't sign that deal by July 1st the Leafs will actually execute that deal because Kaberle's no trade clause doesn't kick in until July 1st.

God I hope the Leafs get Pronger. He's unbelieveable.

I have mixed opinions on the Dmitra trade, as O'Sullivan has put up some huge numbers in the minors so far, but it really is time for the Wild to start winning some games and this move helps that. Also, Peca apparently wants to come back to his hometown club.

As for the Luongo deal, I am kind of out of touch with hockey, but I don't really like it. No doubt Luongo is one of the top goalies out there, but it seems like Vancouver could have gotten a good goalie without giving up a star player like Bertuzzi. I'm just glad to see Bertuzzi gone from the division.

Bertuzzi seems like he's more trouble than what he's worth in Vancouver. We'll see how well he plays with Jokinen and the rest of the Panthers.

Yeah, my opinion is definately skewed because the last time I really watched Bertuzzi play was when the Wild beat them in the playoffs a few years back and he was a complete douche but pretty good, so meh.

You are out of touch with hockey. Bert was all but finished in Vancouver, he had an abysmal year, he just didn't show up at all, to get one of the best goaltenders in the NHL for a guy who everyone knew the Nucks wanted gone is amazing. If Luongo sings long term then the Nucks raped Florida.

My bad, I meant Mark Parrish. Didn't those two play together at one point on the Islanders or something? Mixed it up. There was another player who was rumored to want to come back to the Twin Cities, don't know if either will happen though with the Wild's management.

At least we got Mara. He is a good offensive defencemen. Also grew up im Massachusetts so that is also pretty cool.

I'm just really sad to see Boynton go. A really great guy.

I don't know the exact stats, but I would have to assume that Minnesota is the biggest supplier of NHL players among the 50 states, so that puts a lot of guys' names out there. Phil Housley was one that they passed on a few years ago, now it is Parrish and somebody else. The only one that I am really pissed about though was Modano, who apparently would have come back last year but we simply weren't interested.

Heard a rumour saying Pronger to the Leafs for Tucker, Kaberle, and Kronwall. Bad deal. Any one of those players straight up, I'd say do it, but all 3? I dunno....

Well of course you'd do it straight up one for one but lol, are you going to tell me you think Tucker is worth Pronger, that Kaberle is worth Pronger, that Kronwall is worth pronger. If so you are fucking nuts.

Pronger is one of the best defensemen in the league you gotta give quality to get quality and like fuck Toronto has anyone worth a damn for a one for one trade.

Roberts now might want back in with TO. Sometimes you gotta wonder what the players are thinking. He leaves them to sign elsewhere, yet after one season he wants back.

If I'm TO I'd pass anyways, yeah he brings grit and leadership, but hey, he keeps getting injured and he's rather old now. He's not going to help your cause.
