Not true. They did bring a good chunk of year one gear forward. Maybe some items you wanted weren't included. But a handful of legendary and exotic guns and some pieces of armor did get the upgrade treatment.

Last thing I know is that the PS4 players got new exclusive weapon sent their way, the Zen Meteor.

Dunno who's on a PS4 here, but when Rise of Iron comes around, I'd be happy to run people through the Vault of Glass or Crota's End. I've mostly ran support on both raids, but I got a general idea on what to do.

Don't ask about King's Fall. Regular crew fell apart shortly before launch, and I've only beat the Oryx part with a couple guys and friends of said couple guys.

Tip for playing PvP. Play during "off-peak" hours. Usually just kids are playing at that time and you can steamroll them. All the grown-ups and pros are pretty much at work at that time.

Remember doing the quest for The First Curse. Had to get 7 headshots with a junk revolver in one match. Played around lunch time, only kids home sick from school were playing, and I got the job done in one match.

But now we're all on summer break from school/college. So, it's a bit different now.

Is that really a "tip" or a "bitch move"? I vote the latter.

I don't mind getting my ass kicked. I don't know the maps nor all the dynamics. I would prefer to play with skilled players to learn rather than picking on some kids.

Definitely a tip. Especially if you're going for missions or weapons involved in the crucible.

Bet a lot of people went crazy when they couldn't get their 500 void kill points going after their Thorns. Or having a hard time getting 10,000 points for their Bad Jujus.

So apparently you don't even need 6 people to do the raids. Vog nèeds 3 to open the door or something, but Crotas end can be soloed and kings fall only needs 2.

You can start it with as many people as you want. Doesn't have to be a full fireteam of 6.

You can use the glitch to get the door open in the beginning of VoG. It's the fights with the Templar and Atheon that require an extra body or 2.

Crota is definitely solo-able.

Good shit seems to drop more often. The new exotics (viewed in the armory on the app) look boring. And once again the main legendary armor at the vendors are uglier than blues and even greens.

However Crucible playlists are almost as robusts as Halo now and private matches will rock. Haven't touched campaign yet.

To be honest, I have quest lines from TTK I still ain't do yet, let alone the smaller questlines they released between major updates in Y2.

Been playing this for a few days now and having great fun ranking up my light level. It seems the best way to do this is to complete strikes.


Also stuck on an insane jumping puzzle in the new social area. Looking forward to the raid dropping tomorrow!

I've done all the strikes an absurd amount. A couple more isn't going to entice me. The only thing that will get me back into this is matchmaking for raids, but I don't see that happening. At least not until Destiny 2.

Don't know if you got the app or not. But instead of going to 3rd party websites, you can use that to hop into groups and go.

It's about the closest you're gonna get for raid matchmaking.

Yeah the official app and forums have a Craigslist type thing now that you can use for any activity. That of course depends on how many people look thru it, but I imagine this 'classifieds' is mostly used for all the raids.

Fair warning. Archon's Forge is on freakin' steroids. Popped in a green tribute thingy and I was well over the recommended light level and got my ass handed to me. Ain't like Court of Oryx where you can solo the bosses. Bring a friend or have others nearby to join in.

They only ever put out posts for the latest raids. Try looking for Vault of Glass or Crotas End, and you get one pist every ten pages that never gets enough sign ups to start. I'm sure the Taken King raid will be right there with them in a few weeks, now that a new raid is out.

With all these sites putting together fireteams, they may as well put in matchmaking. It makes no sense not to at this point.

Part of me wants to get back into this, but my character is pretty frickin' useless without Taken King.

Also, the last time I logged in, it seems like some of my stash is either missing or changed. Not that it matters anyway, because my best stuff was doing fuck all in damage to mooks, let alone Crucible opponents. I could have netted more in-game damage to my opponents by screaming into my mic.

A bit messed up on how they made the grind this time around. I can't believe players have been going non-stop to get to 370 or a little less to play the raid.

Really really did try to get back into this. Realize I just dont give a shit about Destiny any longer. If I'm not having fun, and it feels like im doing a job instead of a pastime...then thats the end of that
