Glad I didn't come in here before I saw the movie.

Just came back from it.

Was alright.... felt very much like it was a "reaction" to Last Jedi, no matter how much he says Last Jedi didn't effect his plans at all.... Just felt like while Last Jedi took a lot of "chances" and failed, this "played it very safe" and just won't be that memorable in the end.

That said... it was alright. Think I might prefer to watch the Prequel Trilogy again rather than the Sequel Trilogy if I had the choice.....

I like how Finn's subplot of wanting to tell Rey something, and Poe being upset at him not wanting to share in front of him was just never concluded.

Heavily implied that he wanted to tell her he is force sensitive, but just.... no conclusion to that subplot.

Early screenings brought 40mil. Opening weekend looks to be on pace for 170-200mil opening weekend. Good numbers but down from last jedi (45mil/220mil) and trailing awakens by an even wider margin (57/248)

I didn’t like Last Jedi, but I think most of that movie is a good movie. I know that’s weird, and makes zero sense.

With that said

I think I really hate Rise of Skywalker. Too me it falls flat, and I think it’s because my boy Sheev. It seemed like a wasted appearance, and it’s probably his worse appearance in the entire series. None of his storyline worked for me. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I think Rise of Skywalker will actually help the legacy of The Last Jedi, because I’m already starting to reconsider my feelings about it.

Itll make money but obviously the franchise is going to need some tlc to fight off this trend

Film will not surpass Ep8 but is still going to be the 2nd biggest gross of the year behind End Game (and ahead of lion king) so its not a failure by any stretch.

The fan rotten tomatoes says its good the reviews say it is bad. Reverse of Last Jedi. Fans mean more than nerd reviewers.

If Taika can breathe life into the Star Wars Universe the way he did with Thor: Ragnarok, I'm down for another SW film, even though the recent batch have mostly left me unimpressed.

Haven't seen either, but I would assume that nothing in Clone Wars spoils Rebels as it takes place before it chronologically.

You can dip in and out. I need to get better at rotating. I signed to the + free trial to watch Rise of Skywalker not realising it was on NOW TV too, then I missed the cut off for cancelling. £6 for Mandolorian is pretty good value for money. Gonna unsubscribe until the Marvel shows debut.

I will say though, I hold a grudge against Disney+ just on the basis that it devalues so much of my Blu Ray collection with the MCU, Pixar movies, and Disney Classics (for my daughter) all on there.

Rewatched seasons 1-6 of Clone Wars, and then watched Rebels. Rebels was great. It was way better than I thought expected. I would recommend it to anyone.

On to season 7 of Clone Wars!

Rebels was good but I didn't like that it only followed the one crew. Loved how Clone Wars was a more 3-dimensional look at what was going on.

This and I thought it being more geared towards kids was why I didn’t watch it. It definitely skews younger then Clone wars, but I didn’t feel embarrassed by watching it. So my reasoning was wrong there.

I’m glad it focused on one crew, because I love the ghost crew now. I want more from them.
