I've got no problem with calling the slash on Staal at the end of the 1st period, but where was the equal call on the 2-handed slash that Phillips did IMMEDIATELY after onto Staal.

There's some MAJOR home-cooking by the officials in Ottowa tonight. 2 blatant high-sticks in the first 5 minutes went uncalled too.


EDIT: At least Toronto got the call right for the kicking motion on Ottowa's disallowed goal.

He was nothing short of spectacular tonight. But the Avs did not beat the Sharks, they got dominated and got a W to show for it. Tough break, time to turn it back to our side in game 4.

Things will turn around. The Sharks have dominated the Avs in all three games, it's only a matter of time. Both the losses came when the game winning goals were off of our own player. A minor adjustment will be made, they'll start screening Anderson a bit more, and the series will turn around.

The Sabres have one of the worst Power Plays in the league, so I wouldnt give too much credit.

THe Sabres are simply getting pushed around constantly and Bostons Defenseman are just doign whatever they want.

I'm not gonna start or join an argument with anything else but the facts on this matter. I love the Avs, but they have been dominated this entire series. And yes I understand that the next thing out of anyone's mouth is going to be, "They've won two games." Yes, they have. But that does not change the fact that they have been dominated. Both wins were from goals off of a San Jose player, and they have been outshot 174-103 or something like that. Anderson has been brilliant, and the only reason that the Avs weren't swept.

Either way, the winner of this series is the team I'm gonna hope wins the Stanley Cup. Born and raised in San Jose, the Sharks are obviously a part of me. But when I first gained interest in hockey, I liked Quebec too which became the Avalanche so I like them as well. The series has been interesting thus far, and pretty bizarre.

well I'm not really arguing anything here

The Sharks should win this series easily. Mostly because the Avs are beaten to death. Also because the Sharks are better right now.

The Sharks should win the series based on how much they have outplayed the Avs. But you never know. The series is tied. I think the winner of Thursday's game in San Jose is going to win the series. Whether it be in game 6 or 7, the winner of game 5 will take the series I think.
