Wtf. Just tried to play and my PS2 is making these weird clicking noises and freezes, or sometimes doesn't even load the game at all. Isn't playing any game or DVD. :foc: Time for a new PS2 it seems.

The Countdown has started and the Superstar of the Day #1 is The Big Show
Height: 7'2" Real Name: Paul Wight Weight: 500lbs Since making his WWE debut at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre Pay-Per-View in February 1999, the Big Show has been wowing WWE fans with a unique mix of power, charisma and ability. A former WWE Champion, Show has also held the Tag Team Championship and Hardcore Championship on several occasions each. He was also privileged enough to perform in the main event of WrestleMania 2000. But perhaps the most impressive thing about the Big Show is his pure size. Show stands 7-foot-2, and weighs an astronomical 500 pounds! When the action isn't happening in the squared-circle, chances are it's happening in the parking lot. From wrestlers being run down in limos to heels slamming opponents through windshields, if you park your car in the backstage you should have extra insurance.

Superstart of the Day #2 is Charlie Haas
To call it IGN's most popular recurring feature would be an understatement. And to think that we would ever let a year go by where we didn't revisit the famed SmackDown Countdown is a serious mistake on all parts. So for this, our fourth consecutive year, your friends here at IGNPS2 have returned to the squared circle to once bring you just one step closer to the men and women that do so much to make THQ's successful wrestling franchise what it is: awesome. And fittingly enough, this year's edition of the fashionable franchise is easily its most ambitious version to date, as WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW marks the first time in the series' history that it takes a step into the online arena. And though this new version does suffer from a slightly smaller roster when compared to last year's Here Comes the Pain, it still manages to pack in an incredible amount of new features that should more than make up for the lack of wrestlers. Refined graphics, smarter AI, better grappling mechanics, and an improved presentation are just a few of the improvements worth mentioning; with several other more subtle refinements, best left for you to the gamer to uncover. In the meantime, we're dedicating ourselves to bringing our fans the best damn SmackDown coverage they could ever hope for. As we're spending the next seven weeks highlighting all 51 current and legendary superstars on the SmackDown vs. RAW roster in a way we haven't done before. So to do things a little bit differently, we're going to reward dedicated wrestling fans by giving them two wrestlers every Monday and Thursday (the nights that SmackDown! and RAW air on television) in addition to our solo updates on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. When we reach the legends in our countdown, we'll go ahead and up the ante again by providing you with two of them every day until we've reached all ten. Sound good? Thought so! But enough with the setup already, let's get the show on the road! So sit back, relax, and enjoy today's Countdown superstar, Charlie Haas! Height: 6'2" Real Name: Charlie Haas Weight: 240lbs Like many other WWE Superstars, Charlie Haas worked his way through the amateur ranks and the independent circuit to reach his dream of making it to WWE, but along the way he hit a bump in the road that drives him more and more every day. After a stellar career at Seton Hall University where he was a two-time Big East Champion, Haas at first ventured into the corporate world when he accepted a job as a Goldman-Sachs stockbroker. Unable to purge his itch for wrestling excitement, Haas quickly left that career for WWE and, along with brother Russ, wrestled on the independent scene as the Haas Brothers. Russ's untimely death in November 2001 did not deter him from the dream he shared with his brother. Today, as a tribute to his brother, Charlie wears the name Russ on his wristbands. When WWE Superstar Kurt Angle and Paul Heyman formed "Team Angle," Haas was given his shot at the big-time and he did not disappoint. Teamed with a new partner, Shelton Benjamin, the duo not only developed into an up-and-coming tag team. It was not long after their union that they captured the WWE Tag Team Championship. In an attempt to jump away from Angle's shadow, Haas and Benjamin left Team Angle to form the Self-Proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team. Benjamin has since jumped to RAW. The move forced Haas to look elsewhere for a partner. Nobody could have predicted who he ended up with. In April 2004, he became one half of an unlikely pairing when he and the flamboyant Rico joined forces to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship. Haas is known as a man of very few words but instead lets his actions do the talking. And if this remains the case and he continues his development as a SmackDown! Superstar, Haas very quietly should be at the top of the SmackDown! roster for a long time to come. I'm tempted to watch the videos but I think I'll refrain. I did that with HCTP and SYM: saw everyone's entrances and finishers ahead of time and felt that I had already played the game before I even got it.

Right just downloaded the Parking lot Brawl, heres what some notes from it *SPOILER WARNING FOR GUYS LIKE VITO*:
- Starts up with a loading screen which says: "The object of this match is to beat your opponent by using the cars and trucks in the Parking Lot as your weapons. To use a vehicle as a weapon, get the opponent close to the vehicle and Irish Whip them into it. Each vehicle is used as a different weapon and they will all cause maximum damage" - The guy is doing Com vs Com, I guess he is tired of getting his ass kicked by the computer - Chavo is the first poor fellow to get chucked into a car windshield - Big ass truck on the far right of the screen, nice. - Bit of a fast count for Chavo there - A-Train still got the De-Railer as his finisher, nice. - FINALLY see the animation for when they protest about the count, quite funny. - HOLY SHIT! Chavo got his face smashed through the window of the limo ![]() - Submissions seem really powerful this year, A-Trains smackdown meter flew up when he had Chavo in the bearhug. - Chavo gave up ![]() Anyway, I'm really liking this mode. At first I didn't think much of it, but now I've seen it in action, its pretty decent. Probably play this one alot |

Notes on Big Show:
*MORE SPOILERS FOR GUYS LIKE VITO* - Got Big Show videos on Hi-Res, god I love being an Insider, so much better seeing these videos in a bigger screen. - OMG! THEY ACTUALLY ANNOUNCE THE NAME OF YOUR GUY! ![]() - Big Show looks pretty good, face seems a tad off, but still very life like - Match starts off against Cena, nice animation before match actually begins - Big Show is completly kick the crap out of Cena, Jeremy knows how to play this game ![]() - Big Show finishes off Cena after 1:57 with a chokeslam |

Notes on Charlie Haas:
*MORE SPOILERS FOR GUYS LIKE VITO* - I must say again, Hi-Res rules - Nice to see Haas have an actual enterance move, instead of a generic one that loads of guys had in HCTP - lol one sign in the crowd said "Haas + Rico = Perfect Match" - Hass is against Chavo and the match starts out with a Test of Strength Battle, first correct button press wins, best out of 3 wins. Haas lost the first two ![]() - The moves seem very fluid in their movement, they string together really well - From the looks of the AI, Jeremy has got the game on a easy setting, Chavo just stood still when he had a clear chance to pound Haas - Doing your signature moves increases your clean meter pretty quick, wont be as bad to play as a face as I first thought - Oh man, Haas of Pain looks brutal, poor Chavo ![]() - Chavo taps out (twice in one day, not good Chavo) after 7:40 - At the end of the match, its says that he has cleared two challenges. They are: Amateur #1: "Two Finisher Challenge" Rising Star #5: "No Limb Damage Challenge" Nice

Anybody else shocked that they listed Charlie as an eighty-one?
I think that's awesome, but after his 73 last year when he was part of the best tag team on the roster, I expected him to either slip down to about 70 or - at best - wind up at about 75. |

Wow, they gave Victoria a 60.
Am I the only one who finds it a little wierd that they they only have a roughly 20 point difference between a Diva, and probably one of the higher wrestlers on Smackdown in Charlie Hass? In HCTP, the highest Diva rating was 50, with most lower card wrestlers falling in the upper 60s, or lower 70s. |

Superstar of the Day #3 is Victoria
Height: 5'8" Real Name: Lisa Marie Varon Weight: 136lbs Victoria's in-ring RAW debut in August 2002 against Trish Stratus opened a lot of eyes, and she hasn't disappointed since. She has proven she is a force to be reckoned with in the women's division, highlighted by her Women's Championship victory over Trish in November of the same year... and another subsequent reign that began shortly before WrestleMania XX. Victoria's athleticism is one of the reasons she has become so successful in such a short period of time, but it isn't the only attribute that has catapulted her to the top. She is a visibly maniacal competitor. In fact, at WrestleMania XX, Victoria not only defeated Molly Holly to retain the Women's Championship, but she shaved Holly's head bald as well! She carries the same crazed attitude when dealing with her relationship with Steven Richards. While the details of their relationship are still blurry, it is clear that Victoria is the one who wears the pants. Meh, I'm really not fussed about Diva's. I think the only time I'm gonna use them is the to the female related challenges
. Anyway, here are the notes from Victoria's videos, for the little few who actually care ![]() *SPOILERS FOR VITO* - Hi-Res rules - Lillian Garcia ![]() - Victoria's new music is in, its pretty lame though. The enterance is a good likeness to that IRL, although no stripping at the top of the ramp. - Classic JR blunder there, sayings "These GUYS cant wait to get it on" - Victoria almost pins Trish after 17 seconds - JR again fucks up, saying "The endurance of these MEN are almost superhuman" - King fucks up, saying "These GUYS have done there *video cuts out*" - Widows Peak looks the same as the one in HCTP - Victoria wins after hitting the Widows Peak, pinning Trish in 4:14 Nothing special there, only the fact JR and King kept calling them guys and saying "he". Oh well. |

Oh and for those of you who were wondering about the move The Black Widow for Victoria, here is an explination from Jeremy himself over at the Smackdown board on IGN:
People have been asking me what this is, so I'll explain it. The Black Widow is a pretty cool move, actually. It begins from the lying position. What happens is Victoria picks up her opponent in a powerbomb-like motion, but goes into a backbreaker instead of a slamming maneuver. After two or three pumps, she then does a falling (re: flipped?) face slam, poses into the camera, and there ya go. Can you picture that?

powerbomb, slide down the right shoulder, the opponents feet lock onto the thighs of the attacker, the attacker grabs the opponents head a la neckbreaker, then falls down, the opponent falls forward (their forward) after impact)

Superstars of the Day #'s 4 and 5
![]() Height: 5'9" Real Name: Salvador Guerrero III Weight: 185lbs A member of the proud Guerrero family, Chavo Guerrero is a third-generation competitor, the son of Chavo Guerrero Sr. (a.k.a. Chavo Classic) and grandson of Mexican legend Gory Guerrero. In the past few years, he has certainly created his own legacy, marking his territory in both WCW and WWE. In both companies, Chavo's path has often crossed with that of his Uncle Eddie. The two were Tag Team Champions on SmackDown!, and enjoyed a lengthy partnership before it all came crashing down. Nevertheless, Chavo was able to pick up the pieces and currently enjoys a successful singles career. The Cruiserweight Championship has been his on more than one occasion, and he has been one of the cornerstones of the division in both WWE and WCW. Superstars like Rey Mysterio and Jamie Noble have learned the hard way that growing up in the business has given him a unique edge that few can boast. (credit: WWE.COM) SIGNATURE MOVES Snap D-kick 01, Neckbreaker 12, Snap D-kick 03, Suplex 09 Gory Bomb (Finisher) Train Wreck (Finisher) Entrance Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Height: 6'5" Real Name: Mark Jindrak Weight: 253lbs For Mark Jindrak, his move to SmackDown! could prove to be the opportunity he has been waiting for. Jindrak is considered one of the best young talents in WWE and now that he is on SmackDown!, he may get to demonstrate just that! While Jindrak may be a newer face in WWE, he is certainly not new to the wrestling scene, as his accomplishments in the tag team division of the old WCW speak for themselves. Along with current WWE Superstar Sean O'Haire, Jindrak was a member of the WCW Tag Team Champions on several occasions in 2000 and 2001, and there was a time when Jindrak and O'Haire were considered one of the best young tag teams in the business. When WWE purchased WCW, Jindrak was part of the package, but he spent time in Ohio Valley Wrestling developing his talent even further so he could be ready for the big stage at WWE. Only time will tell if Jindrak will live up to the unlimited potential that has been noticed in him, but if his success thus far is a sign of things to come, Jindrak is ready to climb to the next level and become a major force as a singles competitor.
