Pretty good line up of unlockables, as well as downloadable characters and attires. Put that with the already known features of the game, and I think we may have a strong contender for best wrestling game. I guess we'll all judge for ourselves next week.

Please... please make the environments more interactable. Hated doing Backstage Brawls because it felt like you were limited with how you could manipulate items in the background or use them against opponents.

Gotta say, I really like how the character select screen works. Seems like all the locked guys get put off to the side and automatically get integrated into the roster once you unlock them instead of having lock marks scattered throughout the board.

It's also nice for those who pick up the game who've maybe never played a SD! game or have, but only once or twice before, since they'll be able to scroll through the list of wrestlers faster and know who's who quicker, what all the superstars and divas' attributes and sig./finishers are, allowing them to choose quicker than before (or instead of just pressing square for some random superstar/diva to pop up...), and get into the action much quicker.

Just saw a video with some French guy showing off a promotional copy. Haven't posted it because it's a 15 min video with little new information.

Few things I did pick up on though, were the locked arenas. Tribute to the Troops was there, which obviously confirms it as an unlockable and making the preorder bonus pointless.

Aside from that and the regular PPV's, there was an Undertaker arena, which means the arena from the druid picture is an actual arena, and not just for RTWM purposes,

And there is an arena logo that is hard to work out. But it looks like Bischoff-era Raw if I'm honest.

IGN gave the game an 8.0. Not too sure how I feel about that. Greg Miller says the game is great but most of the stuff from last year is still there. I don't understand it. If it improved the stuff from last year that needed to be improved and added cool new stuff shouldn't that warrant a higher mark than the previous year?

All I know is Overdrive is going to keep the Go Home Driver (death valley driver into a powerslam), and Paden Full is going to do the Money Maker (not sure what it'll be). Nice!

I love how Terry Funk has a 6 pack. This is the first time I've considered getting a Smackdown game since they first changed it to Smackdown vs Raw. I'm on the fence because it seems like they're still using animations from 10 years ago and every wrestlers is a lot bigger and more ripped than they've ever been. Plus HBK has a better hairline than me (and I'm not even losing my hair).

How was the game play in last year's? I can forgive the extremely huge bodies and recycled moves/animations if the end product is fun.

Gameplay was improved in a lot of areas. If the last one you played was HCTP, you will probably find that it's about 50-50 on what's new and what's old.

Is it just me or do those graphics look below what they should be? Maybe it's just the compression of the video but those graphics look like the PS2 version to me...

I wanted to do a TPWW promotion for years, but I don't want that anymore. What's gonna happen is a TPWW Rumble. It will be the next big "inv". One for real wrestlers and one for CAWs.

Yeah honestly the graphics have looked sub-par on every video I've seen. I hope they didn't downgrade the graphics in favor of adding more things. But I can't see them going BACKWARDS with graphics.

It's probably just video compression.

It's possible that they reduced the number of polygons to allow processing for the for the advanced physics and if there was no way around it, I want to shake whoever made that call's hand for not keeping graphic fidelity at the cost of gameplay.

To be honest, I think the graphics look just fine. I think it's just the video quality. Some of the videos on the official site's superstar pages are fine.

Funky, I know they have flexing. Just Jericho in that picture looks way too 'roided'. It's fine though, I'm sure it'll look awesome when they actually flex and the skin and muscles change.

Not so bothered about the review. I always use reviews just to get more information about the game, rather than let the score decide if I'm getting the game or not.
In my eyes, this game is a huge improvement over last year, and I haven't been this hyped over a Smackdown game in years.

I think the addition of Havoc Physics is seriously under rated in that review. For me at least, it's increased re-playability because of the freedom it can give you. Plus there is much more leeway on mindless violence in the ring, which will appeal to alot of fans.

Like I said before though, I guess we can all judge ourselves next week.

Can't do a key story quest because the dialogue options don't come up for the character.

Could do a bunch of side-quests, but might have to start a new game when the patch comes anyway so not sure wether to bother or not.
