Drew Bennett signed a deal with the Ravens 2 days ago to try and resurrect his career at 30, but he tore his knee up in his first practice and decided to retire..

Things are not going to well in Baltimore.

That being said I got a ticket to the Jets/Ravens preseason MNF game on 8/24. Bleh.

Wow as in you're surprised that the punishment wasn't harsher, or you think it should be?

I for one think that it can only be good for both Vick and the NFL if he is allowed to play. The guy served his time and is going to have to do charity work involving groups that are against dog fighting as he moves forward.

Well, you take that "wow" a couple different ways.

For a hardcore NFL fan's standpoint. You can say that 2 years was enough time for his crime, and the Goodell made a fair enough decision to bring him back on a probationary basis.

Or, from someone who backs PETA and only heard about this guy when the details came out, you could be saying that he should have had a longer sentence and that he should never be allowed to play again.

I'll let you judge.

Rams sign Hollis Thomas.. Meh, he's like 35 now. Prolly play around 10-20 snaps a game as a run stopper. Clog up the middle and what not.

I really do like the moves the Rams have made this offseason though. I wouldn't really sleep on them. Who knows, .500 might be a possibility.

Tell you who else i like this year. Phillip Wheeler and Donald Brown. We might have the best running game in the league this year. My theory is that Brown is going to push Addai hardcore for the starting job. ANd Joe dont want to lose that job. I think both will get significant carries. I also think Mike Hart will be worked in.

Honestly, aside from the coaching changed ( i love Coyer ), this might be one of the most talented Colts teams ever. The only place thats lacking depth is ironically WR.

I dunno if Tate is gonna be able to get on the field much though with Moss, Welker, Galloway and Lewis. Galloway is like 45 years old though so maybe, but all reports I'm hearing is that he's still "got it."

I think Lenon could be the sleeper since everyone is totally forgetting about him. He's not an all star or anything but he had like 140 tackles last season, I think it was a pretty good pick up. I really like all the off-season pick-ups they made, none of them are huge names (outside of maybe Springs, not really a huge name either though), but I think they will all help fill some voids. I still got a feeling Willie McGinest is gonna make his return too, not sure how much that will help though.

I kinda feel good about the fact that if some tragic reason Peyton Manning goes down, Brett Farve will be ready and almost surely sign. lol
