Who will be the first superstar on the countdown? I say someone like Triple H or maybe HBK. Diffinitely an older wrestler will be first not some of the newly added superstars, such as Lashley or Finlay.

And I call the Dragonrana for my finisher (stand on top turnbuckle, flip on top of opponent's shoulders, do hurricanrana cradle pin type thingie). Probably impossible to do in real life, but looks killer.

And am I the only one who doesnt mind Divas in the games? I mean, Christ, we've had Mae Young and Moolah in No Mercy 64, and Divas in EVERY game. Just accept it and move on. I know I'm gonna enjoy FINALLY HAVING CANDICE MICHELLE'S FULL-LENGTH FUCKING THEME!!!!

My guy sucked at submissions, thankfully he rarely got in them, because I was beating my opponent down bad, seems to work well for you D-SD. Then again my overall is capped at 85 along with all my friends, yours must be around 90+ I think.

I know that overalls rarely matter, as its a matter of YOUR timing to reverse and crap, its that when people with high overalls (HHH,Angle) fight people with low-overalls ( Divas, The Hurricane) They tend to get there asses handed to them because they get hit a few times and thier body turns different colors. and having a 5 on submission against an 8-10 is hateful. especially when the part of your body in submission is red.

For six consecutive years IGN and THQ have teamed up to bring our readers an ongoing exclusive look at the superstars of the WWE, and this season is no exception. Famous the world over, our "SmackDown Countdown" chronicles each wrestler, diva, and legend that will appear in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, and comes complete with never-before-seen screenshots and direct-feed movies of every last one of them. Every day for the next nine weeks, we'll profile more than 60 different personalities (including two each on Mondays and Fridays as a special homage to Raw and SmackDown fans), and for the first time ever, will cover two different platforms with images and video from both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 versions. Hot stuff? You bet.

Pretty disappointing, tbh

Looks exactly the same as SVR06 and they still haven't re-animated the chokeslam as well as most moves Same commentary as last year too

Can't help but think the eventual 360 coverage will be much better though

I think the 360 version is the same only because THQ said that they actually started the 360 version first and copied it for the ps2 version.

I was speaking graphics-wise, mainly. This really just made me feel as though I was watching SVR06...but then I've become accustomed to 360 graphics

Meh i think it all looks ok, you can tell the difference from ps2 and 360, wish they had a better 360 close up of kane tho

Hopefully you can change the current superstar's theme music to your own custom music on 360. I'll be changing Big Show's theme to his current ECW one.

How does Kane have a better rating then Show every year? Big Show is what, a 4 time champ? And none of his reigns has been 24 hours.

Smackdown Countdown: Big Show


Video 1 - Entrance:

WEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL IT'S SMACKDOWN VS RAW 2006!!!!! Oh wait, no it's not, it's 2007. Pyro goes off and Big Show comes out with the Tag team title ON HIS SHOULDER!!! *MARKS OUT* He continues down to the ring and gets in, and does his chokeslam taunt thing with belt in hand. Lillian Garcia looks pretty good too.

Video 2 - Fighting time

It's Big Show vs RVD, two ECW members fighting on a WWE program....who'd a thunk it! Seems like the crowd noices have been bumped up from last year as Show takes down RVD with a bear hug slam. Show taunts RVD before taking him down with an ARM BAR type move.

Video 3 - Fighting time II

It looks like RVD is busted wide open and Show drops his huge tree leg on RVD's head, ouch. Show taunts RVD to get up and slams RVD back down with a huge showstopper, according to JR. The crowd count along with the refs count, although they go 1 *nothing* 3 WOOOOOOOO!

Smackdown Countdown: Kane


Video 1 - Entrance

HOLY SHIT, THEY GOT KANE'S PYRO NOISE RIGHT! Kane comes out with the other Tag Team title, I kinda guessed they would be after SS were left out. Doesn't really do much but walk down to the ring. The red lighting and camer flash lights going off is a nice touch. Kane puts the title down and gets in the ring and does his pyro taunt, which actually sounds like pyro instead of a fart.

Video 2 - Fighting time

lol Kane vs Kid Kash, this doesn't look like a fair fight, Kane is huge compared to Kash. Kash reverses Kane's first attack attempt but Kane gets it right with a knife edge chop, which sends the crowd into a strange WOOOO sound. But again Kash again reverses it and knocks Kane down. lol Kane is getting his ass handed to him as Kash whips him into the corner. Uh oh, dodgy AI moment, Kash runs towards Kane but then stops and backs away. FUCK

Video 3 - Fighting time II

Kane seems to be back on top of things as he knee's Kash in the gut and delivers a huge un-reannimated chokeslam. Kane drags Kash to the center of the ring and pins him 1-2-3.
