Yeah he's gotta love being a part of this.

Me and my bro were tearing it up. This game is the NBA Street/NFL Street of fighting games. The fundementals are still there, hidden under what appears to be a Saturday morning cartoon line-up mixed with coccain and liquid fire. I love this game.

Change of plans for playing with Iron Man. I pretty much suck with him here. Dropping him. Shickingly enough, may have to drop Spidey as well. We are not meshing at all.

My main team right now is Dante/X23/Chun Li. Wesker (who is deliciously evil), will be on point for another team that features Phoenix. Phoenix gets killed off a super a few hits, very risky. But something about figuring her out is addictive.

There's like 20 ways to do any one approach for any character, no lie. The kneejerk reaction to the selection screen fades when you realize you're a long way from mastering a single character let along a team. Then the roster becomes daunting. You will dream up set ups outside of playing the game.

Still needs spectator mode. And online play isn't actually so bad, but it appears so with this kind of game.

Fear Ryu, he's a beast. Akuma too. Everybody's a beast.

Yeah, im still trying to figure out all the tricks. Maybe you and I can have a sparring session later. Teach me the ropes.

My main 3 is rounding out to Ryu, Cap, Wolverine.

I seem to have picked up Super-Skrull pretty well also.

Amaterasu and Dante have been my kyrptonite.

Been using X23, Wolverine and swapping out Cap, Jean and Hulk. X23 has been my point and she's a monster. May have to give Wesker a shot.

Also, I should still note I'm terrible. lol. Picking up a couple wins but haven't been able to hit moves when I want the majority of the time yet. A lot of my wins have come from X23 being scary good.

I started with Chun Li/Wolverine/Deadpool, after about 20 minutes of switching up the team finally did it with Chun Li/Ryu/Phoenix.

What's weird is that the team you beat the last stage with probably isn't your most practical. I had to use a team that was pretty much a PURE rush down attack, which doesn't really work for my game play...

They have Shadow Mode as DLC in March and that's basically a regular mode but with AI modeled after people like Seth Killian, so modes are going to be DLC as well.

Had my hands on this today but stupid fucking Blockbuster video said there was a problem with my Debit Card. Said it was a pre paid card and it wasn't. So by the time it is all sorted out this will probably be all checked out.

I was so hype for this game until I played the arcade mode and saw it for what it really was and will eventually come down to, back and forth exchanges between 2 guys doing 79 hit combos because of one mistake. Sold it to my cousin like the next day, Fun I guess, but to me I found it annoying.

They may consider fan art as the "special art" that you can unlock. I know there are about 6 or so pieces of "special art" you can unlock.

I'm still learning, myself. I feel like I get the swing of things then I play somebody who makes a tactic look useless. Somebody bodied my main team by 'letting' Wesker in and punishing my surprise attacks which didn't surprise at all. I save X23 for last because she's pretty much a bitch with lvl3 X Factor. I drop combos with Dante a lot for some reason. And some of his normals can't be special canceled, but they can be mash canceled. I have to keep in mind what works and what doesn't. Until then it's rockets all day.

I may be picking up Trish, she's fun.

I like the NFL Street analogy, mostly because I still pick up that game all the time. Love that shit.

The problem for me will always be remembering combos and somehow working them into my normal routine. I'm not used to using the button dash either.

Button dash will save you a lot of trouble!

You don't have to remember long strings. This game is more about set-ups. I have this for X23 with Wesker and Dante on assist:

Close in with X23 and bait with her hard attack, have Dante pop in with his pistol assist that shoots downward. Counting on it to be blocked, I charge X23's pounce grab. When she pounces the opponent should have little time to react. The grab leaves you grounded*. Then I call in Wesker's low pistol shot that lifts you off the ground (OTG) and you're pretty much at the mercy of X23 (supers, relaunch, lvl3 "Bye bye!"). No long button sequence, just a number of actions.

However, I suggest get accustomed to [S (launch), Air combo: M, M, H, S (slam)]. What you do to get that first launch and what you do after the aerial slam is up to you and your whims, but that seems to be a universal air combo.

*Also people can be ground bounced and 'grounded'. Dante's air dive kick (qcf+L) or Hulk's standing H are examples of ground bounce. Grounded is usually after an aerial S slam - and I think the length of time somebody is grounded depends on the length of your combo. I say this because I can't seem to land X23's low slicer after an air combo - even though all the trailers show it, and I repeat the moves exactly (it could be something that was balanced out).

Some moves just look like they will hit grounded opponents so either experiment or look up OTG moves.

Why I don't see people pick Taskmaster I'll never know. He's almost another Dante with having everything you need.

Jill and Shuma will be 10$ as expected. The costume pack (6 alts) will be 5$. So I guess that the pricing structure, 10$ for two characters and 5$ for 6 costumes. I don't think you can buy anything separately and much later down the line Capcom may have the DLC in bulk to purchase for a discount (at the expense of waiting a while).

Also, Cap's Secret Avengers costume has him using his WWII shield. Dante changes into Sparda himself for Devil Trigger.
