I thought the show was more compelling than weeks past. I agree in whole with the comment about its production. I have noticed that the camera angles they get are not the best shots. WWE has this down and has for years. I suppose it would be like copying them if TNA were to take a page out of their production, but I think we can go ahead and say that's OK because better angles may make things look a lot better. |

First Impact I've watched all the way through in a while.
Ladder Match was good, but I HATED the fact that they started this series with a gimmick match. Need to build to it, not just use gimmicks willy nilly. That's a complaint I have for WWE too, mind you. Otherwise, it was lackluster. The brawl was vastly overhyped and nothing like people claimed it to be. It was, at best, an "okay, that was okay I guess, let's see where it goes from here" type of thing. It didn't feel "special" at all to me. It felt like any other clusterfuck brawl. The Abyss stuff was stupid. I like "insane" gimmicks, but Abyss is no original Mankind. Not by a long shot. Lethal vs Hardy was ok as was the triple threat. Wasn't a fan of the Women's stuff. Yeah. One good match which had shit logic leading into it and the rest of the show was, at best, an average iMPACT, which isn't a good thing. |

Yeah I think the show might have been overhyped within the IWC. Either that or it was just better to have been there in person. I know it was hyped here probably just because they wanted more people to watch. Whomever is in charge of this site has a tendency to really hype TNA stuff when something big is going to happen. I can't say that I blame them though after all the crap that gets said about TNA on the internet. Alright, perhaps tonight's edition doesn't appeal to everyone, but for it's worth it was in the end an improvement. If you follow TNA regularly, you can tell they are really trying to get a grip on what it is they want to do with their shows. Stability people.....that's all it takes.
Interesting about the camera angles used at the Smackdown taping. Maybe less is more. I suppose I really wasn't talking about the amount of shots they had, just the way they were using them. For some reason when you see a WWE show, the camera work feels like artistry.....with TNA it feels like it was kind of put together with duct tape. While I am a fan of duct tape, it doesn't bring in the ratings any better. |

yea wwe seems more "Crisp"I guess would be a good word for it.Seems like TNA has been trying to go with a more in your face "Ecw shaky cam" style or something.WWE has better transitions from shot to shot and it just kind of...flows.I'll give TNA the nod on the backstage set up though.i dig their little interview nook.

Kevin Nash is a legend. he is more known than 90% of wrestlers out there in the public. You gotta be kidding me if anyone is even doubting that.

Hall and Nash are legendary simply for being two of the founding members of the nWo.
That's the only really legendary part they can put on their resume legitimately, but it's enough to solidify them. |

loved the show last night by the way.
I really am a fan of the way they do the backstage interviews. No announcer, just them talking with a closeup. that is awesome. And the way RVD does his with him walking and talking. I am liking the stuff Nash is doing. I've been a fan of serious Kevin Nash. I like when he does his interviews in sort of a half shoot style. He looks bigger then ever right now. The Abyss angle really has me hooked. Can't wait to see what they do with it. The ECW thing was ok, but it wasn't the best thing they could of done. I felt like they should of laid out someone before fighting the whole locker room. Save that for the next show. I am a huge fan of the Beutiful People and really liked the angle last night. Everyone was good on the mic and Lacey is fucking smoking. And the rest of the show had solid wrestling. Big thumbs up for me |

So, if the ECW guys weren't the "THEY" Abyss talked about, then who is?

yea, what are you talking about. you assumed it was them, but it was never once revealed to be them.
I don't know who it could be, but I am intrigued. Maybe it's the Disciples of the New Church, which would be amazing |
