Anyone watching RAW tonight by chance catch John Cena gagging several times as the bell rang on his match ending with Edge?

Funny shit. I thought of Jim Carrey in Liar Liar when I saw that. Thats just what he looked like.

If there was ever a time to make a .gif file of anything, it would be John Cena gagging lol.

Not sure why they felt the need to insert John Morrison into the US title match. Yeah, it continues his push, but he had absolutely nothing to do with this feud until the Monday before the PPV.

Danielson/Jomo vs Miz/Riley, Jericho's promo, Khali's beat down was pretty great. Nothing else was too great, average at best. Watch the Edge/GM segments just because of how ridiculously bad they are.

You just knew the computer was going to get it when they swapped out the Mac they've been using for weeks for a Dell from like 2002 this week. Still a pretty funny segment, but I still enjoy Edge. He'll play along with the goofy crap while working how ridiculous it is that they're doing it in the first place.

Last night's episode of WWE Raw scored a 2.37 overall rating. This is a year-low for the show, down a lot from last week's 2.80. The show was very negatively impacted by the Packers/Bears Monday Night Football game on ESPN, which was one of the most-watched cable TV broadcasts ever. The show averaged 3.8 million viewers over the course of the show.

Hmmmm I distinctly remember making a thread at the beginning of the year called "WWE will crumble" and everyone thought I was full of shit. LOL.

A 2.37 rating, tons of empty seats at Wrestlemania this year. I would say that they are in some real trouble. Possibly the start of a crumble. We'll see.

But they are a public company and if the stock price goes down the toilet, it could kill them. They only profited just 6 million last quarter which is not alot of money at all considering they spend 1 to 3 million a week on production alone for RAW and Smackdown.

The last thing they want is their shareholders unloading the stock because of sub-par revenue/profit numbers and their advertisers bailing due to low ratings.

I'm not saying there's no reason to be concerned, I just think "crumbling" is a bit dramatic, if not premature.

WWE won't crumble unless they keep slipping and start doing 1's for a year or two. Once USA lights a fire under their asses Vince will jump.

WWE isn't in any real danger whatsoever right now, but they do have to look at the numbers and realize that something isn't right.

Yeah I guess you're right. These rookies really have to come through for the company though. Hopefully alot of them evolve and turn into big stars. My money is on Wade Barrett doing that.

They also have to drop the PG rating thing. Its obviously not working.

It's not the PG rating, it's the fact that they hire writers with no knowledge of the business to write for an entertainment show, not a wrestling show. If wrestling wasn't a four letter word to Vince they could EASILY thrive as TV-PG.

You can pull off PG without alienating the older fans, which is clearly what they need to do.

Its hard to be a PG show when you have characters on your show that shouldn't be PG like Orton, Edge, etc. I'm sure alot of people get irritated by that. I know I do.

Its also hard to get people to buy into your show needing to be PG when its people portraying physical harm to each other. The Shrek movies are rated PG for goodness sakes.

Also, its hard to compete with other shows on TV when you are trying to build a PG show when programs like Jersey Shore dominate in viewership.

I dunno, they just don't need to be PG IMO. TV-14 is the way to go.
