IF this is legit heat between the two of them I would put it down to Taker being pissed that he put Lesnar over huge only for him to walk away.

Seems to have been a good way to get some publicity as theres multiple links on the web talking about it. Supposodly Lesnar wants to take some time off as well, id imagine a few WWE matches would be a damn sight easier on Lesnar than the way he got his balls rolled last night.

Taker is a huge MMA fan and it's not like this is the first Lesnar fight he's been to. If a guy like Taker had a problem, I think he'd be man enough to have addressed it then, not almost six years later after a guy lost his fight. I'm looking for a bearded man sporting a shiner to come out and F5 Taker into the grave.

I don't think this is a work in any way. Is Lesnar under any kind of contract with UFC that would prevent him from appearing on WWE TV.

Plus, I kinda assumed Lesnar is making so much money from MMA that he wouldn't be interested in wrestling again anyway.

I could see WWE putting in a few million to bring Lesnar in for a match with Taker at Mania.

I know it won't happen, but it would draw insanely. Aside from Cena, Lesnar is the only one who could give Taker legit competition at Mania.

Well in the interview Dana said Brock wanted to take some time off. Plus he seemed to shrug off their confrontation and called them friends. Considering Taker has been a UFC fan for years and Brock was one of his top guys, I think he'd know if they had some kind of issue.

Also keep in mind that Brock may get the customary 1, 3, or 6 month medical suspension after this fight. If it's six he'd be out till April anyways and with an autobiography coming out, doing business with the WWE hype machine could boost profits. He could fly in, tape an appearance every Tuesday for Smackdown, and then fly back to training.

Plus at this point I don't think UFC would care if Brock did a one off deal with WWE. Brock brought so many pro wrestling fans to UFC and MMA that I don't think he'd have a problem with Brock going back to where he started.

They're kind of similar, but on two different plains of existence. WWE is WWE whereas UFC is where boxing was 10 to 15 years ago when Tyson made his appearance. Just like HBO was more concerned with whether Tyson did something for Showtime or its affiliates than if he did something with the WWF, UFC would be more concerned with whether Brock did something for Strikeforce than with WWF. Plus Rampage was a guest host and Shamrock had his stint so it's not like there isn't a precedent. It wouldn't really hurt UFC in my opinion.

I will say what I did in the MMA forum- Brock will lose to Taker at Wrestlemania if it ever occurs and hence will look weak heading back to UFC. Dana is a smart man, and unless something ridiculous monetary wise happens, I don't think this will happen. Besides, Taker broke kayfabe by appearing there last night and I don't believe that it was in any way scripted.

Isn't that all the more reason to think it's a work? Taker is a smart veteran, not some young punk who doesn't know any better. So why would he even agree to be interviewed on camera by Ariel Helwani, arguably the most famous of all the MMA reporters, if there wasn't some type of plan for him and Brock to have some type of exchange? He was also shown on camera and acknowledged by the UFC commentators during the pay per view. Sure they probably anticipated Brock winning and talking trash, but still.

Again, Taker isn't known as the kind of guy who would huff and puff and stick his chest out. He's known for taking guys aside and talking to them one on one. If he really had a problem with Lesnar I'm sure the two of them have enough mutual acquaintances to where they could have met up, talked off camera and if necessary settled their differences like men.

Don't really like this as a shoot. In the 1 in a million chance its a work, I love it.

Maybe there was a day when the dead man could put up a fight against lesnar, but at 45 he would probably get stomped. Plus I don't like that he did that after Lesnar just got beat.

Undertaker put over Lesnar HUGE during their feud over the WWE Championship; more so than he really has for anyone in the past, aside from Steve Austin. He made Brock look like a million dollars, even losing to him inside the cell.

Taker was among many who were upset about Lesnar's sudden desire to leave the WWE, and among the few who had the balls to actually say something about it to Lesnar. It looks to me like that beef isn't dead.

Why would they? He's been a main eventer, and highly respected wrestler for years, within the world of pro wrestling, but he's never broken out like the rock or hogan. He's never done anything outside of pro wrestling.

Guarantee that I could talk to any of my friends, and none of them will know who he is.

Because people pick things up peripherally. They've seen his t-shirts worn around, they've heard his name, they've probably seen him on Celebrity Death Match. Taker has been around as a main player in the WWE for longer than pretty much anyone; he is their franchise player, and he has been promoted as such for years and years. I mean, I have never watched a single episode of "The Price is Right", but I know who Bob Barker is.

If you were to walk into any grocery store in any part of the US and asked a stranger: "Hey, do you know who The Undertaker is?" They would probably reply: "You mean the wrestler?" More times than not, they would know that he is a famous wrestler. The name "Undertaker" is synonymous with professional wrestling, more so than someone like "Shawn Michaels," who people might assume is a lesser-known brother of Brett Michaels.

Out of all of that, it is amazing that everyone speculates the same thing... Mark tryna' pick a fight (kayfabe or legit) from three little words: "Wanna do it?"


Serious first thought: Maybe 'taker talked to Brock earlier and asked if he wanted to go knock a couple back or something, and Brock gave a "Ask me later, after I win." kind of response.

Sarcastic first thought: Maybe 'taker proposed an orgy and/or wife swapping with himself, his wife, and Brock's wife. After that loss, he may have figured it would have picked Lesnar's spirts up... among other things. I mean, you can do worse than be sandwiched between 1/2 of the Diva's champion, Sable, and Sable's twins.

Just like everyone thought the inexperienced and immature Lesner would get spanked in his HW Championship match (instead he dominated and became Champion) with no merit whatsoever, is the same thing you're doing to Taker, it is just unfair, which is all I am saying.
Yes but all he is saying is that Taker is 45 now and worn down. Maybe at 30 something he could have had a shot.

I'm sure a lot of guys in their prime could have done pretty well in a "legit" sport such as UFC. Especially those with some sort of background is shooting, wrestling, and other fighting art forms.
