I dont understand how mock drafts have Nick Fairley dropping now all of a sudden all the way past the top 10 in some cases. Dude's a beast if he's there at 9 I will pray the Cowboys nab him ..along with Ratliff on that d-line omfgg

Cowboy need help in the secondary much more. Maybe had they gone after Atogwe and gotten him. Apparently the Cowboy are interested in Michael Huff.

They can use a defensive end or big tackle in the middle ..Igor sucks. Bowen is ok. But a corner and safety obviously needs as well along with O-line. I'll be a happy camper if we have a choice to draft Fairley or Prince. Win win either one.

Definely need a corner or safety in the first round. Not any really stand out tackles that would warrent a top ten pick.

That's my whole point with Denver's pick. With that pick you need a guaranteed difference maker, and though they need line help, I don't see Fairley or Dareus as "sure things." I'm sure they'll both do well, but will they make as big a difference as Patrick Peterson? I really doubt that. D line is pretty deep this year that Denver can afford to get its playmaker in Peterson and then do DT with its second round picks

Denver has great talent on the O-line, unfortunately a good chunk of it was hurt most of the season. Particularly RT Ryan Harris. When Harris got back laaate in the season and everyone moved back to their natural positions, the running game improved. And it doesn't help that they were starting 2 rookies. So they basically had no chemistry. They should be drastically better next season when everyone's healthy and knows how to work with each other
QB, OL and WR are pretty much the only two positions I'm not worried about |

I really really want them to draft Peterson. Would be fine with Dareus though.

Dareus I'd be fine with if they traded down. But a #2 pick needs to be a lock to fuck shit up, and that's Peterson

I agree with that, but I just don't think they'll take a corner when they have Bailey already.
ideally though they would draft Peterson |

Current status with the negotiations have the players dropping a few of their demands but at the same time the owners were found to be hiding some of the money and lying about their financial books to the union.
Supposedly a large sum of money was hidden from the players to go along with the demand of locking away $2 billion of the $9 billion from bargaining under stadium maintenance reasons. |

Jeff Pash is just shitting all over the Union, and he's bringing up some good points. They gave the PA what they wanted on a lot of things, but I still think it's ridiculous that they expect to ask $1billion+ from the PA and not show why they need it. That's just retarded

PA agreed to extend the deadline as long as the owners agreed to share 10 years of audited financial statements, and they said no. Come the fuck on, clearly the owners are either hiding something or there's no money being lost

Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington(notes) just can't catch a break.
The hard-luck veteran passer tore his anterior cruciate ligament during a pickup basketball game, ESPN is reporting. Pennington was already dealing with a shoulder surgery. Set to have surgery April 7, Pennington is unlikely to play again. He might not be able to play until the 2012 season with the bad timing of this latest injury and his age. |

Dez Bryant managed to lose about $850,000 in under a week after a couple of lawsuits and debt payments during a time when the NFLPA kept sending reminders for everyone to save their money and be wise with it.
He's been soo horrible with his money that he already hired a debt manager or accountant to make sure he doesn't go broke before the next NFL season is possible. Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 03-31-2011 at 09:36 PM. Reason: NFLPA, not NLPA |

Barring Ingram falling, I can't see the Giants not taking an offensive lineman. Pouncey or Castanzo would be ideal.

Mark Ingram is not worth a first rounder, IMO. I wouldn't waste a pick on a running back in the first round, and probably not even in the second unless I really needed one. RBs are a dime a dozen, and most teams have 2 or 3 guys who can carry the load. It's not like the pre-2000's when teams ran on first and second down majority of the time. So Unless you plan on drafting a guy to run the ball 300 plus times, a first rounder just isnt worth it anymore. In fact it may be years before we see another RB takin in the top 10, barring someone special like an AP is avaliable.

Its that time of year when Droford (correctly) predicts the Ravens 2011 Season ridiculously early (especially this year..)
Bold = Win Steelers at Ravens 1:00 PM Ravens at Titans 1:00 PM Ravens at Rams 4:05 PM Jets at Ravens 8:20 PM SNF BYE Texans at Ravens 4:05 PM Ravens at Jaguars 8:30 PM MNF Cardinals at Ravens 1:00 PM Ravens at Steelers 8:20 PM SNF Ravens at Seahawks 4:05 PM Bengals at Ravens 1:00 PM 49ers at Ravens 8:20 PM Thanksgiving Ravens at Browns 1:00 PM Colts at Ravens 1:00 PM Ravens at Chargers 8:20 PM SNF Browns at Ravens 1:00 PM Ravens at Bengals 1:00 PM 11-5 at a minimum, and thats losing all the big games. Ravens have played well in/vs SD lately so I'll give them that win, 1 win vs Pittsburgh, and since its in Baltimore I'll give them the Jets game. 14-2! Awesome. AFC South/NFC West games are all winable with the exception of the Colts game. FINALLY THANKSGIVING NFL HAS COME TO BALTIMORE..HARBAUGH BOWL 2011 |

The Jets have Dallas at home to open on Sunday Night Football. New York vs America's Team on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, they sure know how to market these things. Should be an epic night.
For once the Jets don't have to play the Patriots at home in one of the first 2 weeks of the season. Jets vs Giants on Christmas Eve will be awesome. Dolphins away on New Year's Day will be fun. Hosting San Diego and a road game at Baltimore are intriguing. Really exciting schedule. I'm also glad they're playing the Raiders away in week 3, will seriously be looking to plan a weekend in the Bay Area for that. |

God dammit NFL. 3rd year in a row that the Giants have a heavily backloaded schedule.
Giants open in Washington on 9/11. One NY team vs. "America's Team" (my ass) and the other NY team vs. the nation's capital team. Given what day and anniversary it is I'm sure those were planned by design. I too am pumped about the Giants/Jets Christmas Eve Game. Many people in the NY market aren't, though. I can sorta understand why. A lot of people may flat out not be able to go, plus the media world practically shuts down the week before Christmas so it won't get as much hype as it could have. |

Brandon Marshall stabbed by his wife but in stable condition.
Due to the strict lockout rules, Miami coaches can't even call him to see how he's doing or if they might need to get another WR. Only team doctors can talk to Marshall's doctors and then relay the information to the team. |
