• I think I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing The Miz have another run as WWE Champion.

I think it would be great and also refreshing to see.

• This whole "Who attacked Nikki" thing is getting a bit "meh" now. It'll probably be revealed that it was Eva Marie as a way for her to return, or (a long shot) but it could be revealed as being Charlotte that attacked her, leading to a Charlotte/Nikki match at WrestleMania.

Also, Carmella has a victory over Natalya. Why?

• Random funny fat man. What exactly was the point of him appearing? All he did was make two jokes and both were pretty lame.

• I love Battle Royals and I enjoyed this one. I really thought American Alpha would win, so their elimination surprised me.

I noticed that Konnor looked like a legitimate threat all the way through the match, which was a big change from him looking like a jobber like he has been for the past six months. Konnor intrigued me during the match. I think if he were to go solo, he could probably survive with his current gimmick.

For a moment, I actually thought The Ascension would win. The Hype Bros. though, I'm cool with that, but I noticed that Mojo looked concerned after the replay showing Ryder winning was played. I think Ryder told him he was hurt as the replay was being shown, as before it, Mojo was in character.

• I liked Alexa Bliss' "Jane Ellsworth" quip. It got a wee laugh out of me.

I can see Bliss avoiding the title match up until Royal Rumble when we'll see the title match with stipulations that can stop Bliss weaseling her way out of it once the match has begun.

• Along with Battle Royals, I also like elimination matches. The main event was good, and Harper was great during it. Having him in the match and hanging around the WWE title scene did seem questionable, but I really liked it. I like it when you see things like that. Guys you don't really see in the main event scene, in the the main event scene, or guys you really don't see interacting, either backstage or in a match, interact with each other.

I was pretty surprised that Ziggler won though, but I think maybe things got a bit lazy with the writers, as all they've really done is swap the challengers for the WWE Title and Intercontinental Title with each other. We have Ziggler going after Styles now and I'm sure next week, we'll see Ambrose go after Miz for his title.

I wouldn't mind seeing Harper go after the Intercontinental Title though. As for Ziggler, I really don't see him winning the title at all. I'm sure he's just filling space between Ambrose and whoever will challenge for the title after him, as whoever this person is, is "not ready yet" or whatever.

Actually, I've just thought as I was typing that maybe The Miz is after Ziggler but he has to drop the title first and he'll be dropping it to Ambrose, or possibly Harper, then he'll go after the WWE Championship.

• Overall, SmackDown was good. As always.

However, it could probably do without the random pointless celebrity cameos, even though they aren't really hurting the product. I'm just not a fan of being left in the dark when some randomer shows up and I'm told they're famous.

Looks like there is going to be new #1 contender's for the tag belts since Ryder hinted on Twitter the results from his MRI were not good.

Best case scenario would have been just a tweak or small sprain and be out a few weeks as a precaution. Now he's possibly looking at a lengthy time out for his knee to recover.
