2003 Moment Time: Bad Blood as we're shown more goodness from the Bischoff/Austin feud that looked like it was only intended to have Vince show Eric who was the man and bury his reputation. Bleh, stupid pie-eating crap from the Triathalon, you should know what happens there and if not I want to shake your hand. I can totally see why that was so much better than Ivory vs. Jazz.

We're shown the dramatic 10 man tag team match from Survivor Series that pitted Stone Cold Steve Austin's team (Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and The Dudley Boys) against Eric Bischoff's team (Mark Henry, Christian, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Scott Steiner). This would be the match that ended Austin's reign as co-GM as Shawn Michaels was the last man eliminated by Randy Orton (via help from Batista). Shawn Michaels would go on to beat Batista at Armageddon the next month in a nothing feud and Orton would win the IC Title at the same PPV from RVD. It was a dramatic moment and a fun match to boot and a great display of booking. I think I gave this one ***1/2 and looking at these bits and pieces I'd say I remembered correctly.

I wonder why they used the album version of My Immortal though.. the new version is a lot more emotional. Regaurdless it's hard to believe that many went in one year. It makes it kinda scary to get into a new year.

I've never heard the newer version before. I'll have to get it off Kazza. Is there a big difference that I can tell between the two versions?

You can listen to it at Evanescence.com. It's the same thing but at the end instead of a piano solo the band kicks in... it made a big impact at concerts cause it was unexpect. I think it makes the song better by a few points though.

You can download the video off of Evanescence.com as well. Amy Lee never looked so good.

There's a heavy guitar riff towards the end of the song in the new version. Not that much different but you should get it to judge for yourself.

They are definately setting us up for some suprises next week on Raw.

If HBK wins the title, and Austin and Foley come back... you won't hear me bitching about the product for a long time.

Imagine this.. HBK is about ready to win, Evolution hits the ring. Refs knocked out... out comes Foley. Foley takes care of Evolution, until they begin to get the best of him... then we hear the glass shatter. Stunner, Stunner, Stunner, One more Stunner (Which means JR will say Stunner atleast 12 times)... HBK gets up, Sweet Chin Music... 1-2-3. Best way a WWF / E year ever ended.

I guess they didn't show the tribute so that we'll have to buy the DVD. I've been trying to d/l it off of Kazaa, but I can't find a fast enough download of it.

Well, no Flair tribute thing. I guess they forgot or they pulled it for some reason. I don't think it was advertised in the WWE.com preview anyway so no big loss. I guess the only thing I can recommend is buying the Ric Flair DVD....maybe that was the reason it was pulled.

Overall, I can't say they got all of great highlights and that they showed 100% great moments but they got the important stuff in there. It was basically a throwaway show and I applaud them for even finding gold amongst the crap that dominated the year. A nice wrap-up though. Until next time, I'm out.

Not a bad recap at all. I still say HBK/Chris Jericho was the best RAW match hands down with the RVD/Christian match at second.
