Haven't read anybody's posts yet; just got home

Wow, I am seriously shocked. fucking shocked. Christian is a HUGE name and I guess money doesn't matter to some guys. Good for him though.

Yea, this is exactly what TNA needs for fuel. Not christian in particular, but name value. We could finally see one of the most deserving wrestlers get booked the way he deserves to be booked.

Like tonight, Edge and Masters come to the ring and talk about how there is only 4 guys you can vote for at Taboo Tuesday now, because Christian has quit. Then they make fun of him because he was on SmackDown! and jobbing on Velocity.

Then at Taboo Tuesday when Edge and Masters' first opponent is in the ring, they wait for the next one, then suddenly "Open You Eyes" hits and the crowd go mad, then Christian makes his "return" and then wins the match. And he gets the push he deserves.

It could happen.

But if this is real I don't wanna see Christian go to TNA.

Well I'm just joking about that, but I would like to see him go anywhere but TNA....and CZW.

The reason I don't want him to go to TNA is because I know that he'll be huge there then after about 2 weeks of being there he'll just job to Jarrett.

WWE may change those plans but he was expected to be at both dates to be a professional. The big question has been why WWE released the information before late Tuesday after the show. Not exactly shocked...just dissapointed...VERY DISSAPOINTED...with the WWE.

here you had a guy who had it all...great charisma (like John Cena and the Rock), but he also had a fantastic character (cocky, arrogant, funny), a great ring entrance, an army of fans (peeps)...getting jobbed all the time.

I've gotta say, Christian is one of few guys who I actually began to like even when he was loosing. I'm talking about WM18 (i believe) against DDP. He lost the match, but was so brilliant in that match.

Hopefully TNA picks him up, however, I have serious doubts over TNA as any sort of compeittion for the WWE...unless Christian becomes like the Scott Hall of the new generation (1st to move to WCW).

-- PWInsider.com reports that Christian has been miserable in WWE for quite a while, and it only got worse when he was moved to the SmackDown roster.

His quitting is not a work or storyline, however knowing WWE’s recent booking style, it could be turned into a storyline later on. As previously noted, he did not sign the new contract that WWE offered him. Christian felt that WWE should have offered him more money for what he’s been putting up with, and has told friends he will give WWE a chance write him out of storylines.

Christian has also told friends that he had a big run and saved his money, and is in a position where he can afford to quit the company. It’s somewhat like the what happened with Chris Jericho, who has almost completely separated himself from pro wrestling.

Something interesting to note is that Christian lives in Florida, which is where TNA tapes all their shows and runs their PPVs. This would allow for a situation similar to Scott Hall or Kevin Nash’s, where he can take the quick drive up to Orlando once or twice a week to wrestle, then go back home to be with his family.

I don't give a fuck if Christian cannot use the name "Christian" anymore. I don't care if he can't use his "Just Close Your Eyes" theme. Jay Reso will always be the first major guy in a company to stick it to the WWE in a way they cannot get him back, and look justified for it.

If I were TNA, I would swoop Jay Reso up, have him come in, win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in his debut (much like he won the WWE Light Heavyweight Championship in his debut), and have him play the role of top babyface next to AJ Styles, Rhino & Monty Brown.

I'm not too sure if Chris Jericho is under WWE contract or not at the moment (I think he is, but anyway), but now that a major star has seemingly told the WWE to burn in Hell, and I can easily see an even bigger star doing that.

Christian was a well-liked guy, so hopefully there is some backlash on the WWE for this.

There is the possibility this is work, though. I don't know where it would go, but I can very easily see this ending up like Matt Hardy & Edge.

100% Agree with what you've said their.

Christian is very much underated, he has the talent, charisma, wrestling skills and even the look to be a top player in any promotion.

If its true and to tell the truth im not going to believe this until i hear more about it, but if it is true then Christians probably guaranteed a job in TNA so its not like you wont see him again.

Its a sad day, i still think moving to Smackdown killed his carer. I mean he was doing great on Raw up until the Batista squash but hell everyone was getting squashed around that time by Big Dave Batista!

So its not like it harmed him really, Smackdown for me just dont know how to use certain talents. Christian should have been in the feud with Benoit not Booker.

I may be a cynic here, but does anyone else think that the WWE de-pushed Christian so they could offer him less money on his contract?

It's semantics but I don't like the word "quit" in this case. He was without a contract.

To those who are really upset, just remember that Austin was in a similar situation, so I wouldn't start chanting TNA, TNA anytime soon.

Hopefully Christian just needs a break and they settle on a new deal soon.

Wait a sec, he's bound to be on an older contract right? I.e before the 90 day no compete clauses came into effect as they have only started within the past few years.

If he's now without contract, therefore he should be able to show up on TNA like next week or something! How huge would that be!

Chrisitian wasn't fired, different reactions. Hardy was unfairly dismissed IMO, Chrisitian was totally underused and because of that has made the decision to not renew, it's more like we are all sharing his frustrations
