Guys guys guys...Duke players don't foul people, they are way too good. I only saw the Duke/BC game, as well as the Duke/UNC so I can't judge the other ones, but Williams raped Rice at the end of the BC game, I know you "let them play" towards the end but I don't think "letting them play" means you can get WWF clothline some dude to the ground while hes going for a layup. I'm not saying that cost BC the game because I think they probably would have still lost anyways, but it was pretty retarded. The whole end of that game was retarded though, BC tried to get a and1 call before that play, which they should have gotten and didn't (Dudley got hit like 3 times while shooting a lay up) I think they should have just realized that Duke is invincable at the end of the game and should have just went for the 3 instead of driving the ball.

Duke is real good this year, but I don't see them winning it all. Even though Redick is having a unreal year, I still don't see Duke winning with a freshman pointguard. Everyone is riding his nuts, yeah hes good, but you can still tell in certain sitations that he is a freshman. I think he will be exposed even more once tourny time rolls around.

Word is that if Mike Davis doesnt beat IOWA in Bloomington. He's out and when i say out i mean gone the next day. I personally,am not rooting for this because reguardless of my hatred for Mike Davis i still want to see IU in the field of 64. If they lose to Iowa, that likely wont happen.

As for Stima... I never maid a claim that was not true. No clue what you're talking about.

Indiana is ranked right now. I don't think a loss to the No. 18 team in the nation eliminates them from the NCAA's.

Also, I would say that it's highly unlikely that they get rid of Mike Davis during the season. What good does it do to put an interm coach in during the middle of the year for a contending team? Also, I don't know what the players think about Davis, but most likely they probably like him, which would again add to the problems.

Quin Snyder resigned today because our season is over. Indiana is far from over, even if they lose to Iowa.

8 losses total and 5-5 record in the Big Ten is nothing to be happy about and also is not a concrete at large bid in the Big Tourney.

Being from Indiana and having a pulse on whats going on, I can honestly tell you that if they lose to Iowa, Mike Davis will not coach another game. Shit is that deep. Trust me on this one. I'm here and i know whats going on. Mike Davis is potentially coaching his last game.

If that's so, then Indiana people/front office/whatever are pretty lame.

Actually, Johnson got a technical foul after getting the intentional foul (which was his fourth) to foul him out. The technical was BS, but I see why they called it. That was his second intentional foul, both coming on the same guy (Williams). They were trying to calm thegame down, because there was some trash talking and whatnot, but they could have called so many other things than what they did. Williams bumped Johnson in the chest and they called that, it was pretty pathetic.

The only game they truthfully got lucky was against VT. They were beating BC by 20 and BC came back. I don't call them winning that one lucky, I call it them finding a way to win in a hostile environment after letting a team get back into it. They didn't get lucky against North Carolina. Every single guy that played for Duke had at least 3 fouls. Williams, McRoberts, and Paulus all had 4 and I think JJ had 4, might have been only 3? I get tired of reading everyone all on their cocks about getting calls. There are two reasons you get calls in basketball. 1. You ATTACK the goal, and Duke does that very well, evident by Williams shooting so many of their free throws, because noone can guard him. See: Boston College. 2. You are up at the end of the game, which is where a lot of Duke's free throws come into effect. Again, See : Boston College

They didn't get lucky on all 5 of those games. They were very close, good games to watch. They are 21-1, could they easily be 16-6? Sure, but that doesn't mean they got lucky, that means they have the toughness to win close games. That means they are coached very well and know what to do in the clutch.

I get so tired of hearing everyone on here bash JJ because he can't "hit the clutch shot". Let's take a look at the big games and how he has performed.

Texas - 13/24, 9/16, 6/6
North Carolina - 12/22, 5/10, 6/6
North Carolina State - 7/15, 4/11, 10/10
Boston College - 8/18, 3/6, 9/10
Wake Forest (big game at the time) - 12/21, 5/13, 3/4
Indiana - 10/17, 4/8, 5/6

Dunno but it looks like to me he has hit some pretty big shots against some pretty good teams. Everyone talks about JJ being a whiney bitch, but I just don't see it. Watching the Duke - Maryland game ATM, that would have to goto Caner-Medley. He yells at his teammates when he does something wrong, always whining about calls, doesn't look like a team player at all.

I only watch SEC and ACC ball, so I don't know about Big Ten ball, but it seems like ACC ball is called much more closely. A lot more free throws are shot during all ACC games it seems.

Former Arkansas Interim Head Coach and Current UAB Head Coach Mike Anderson is the favorite to become the next head coach at Missouri. Also on the Mike Davis situation I read in the Lexington Herald that someone at IU called John Belien of West Virginia so that might be a sign of Davis getting fired. I could see Belien at IU, and I could see West Virginia hiring alum Bob Huggins if Belien leaves WV.

That would be like 02 when they pulled off the huge upset against them. I'd like to see a rematch Indiana played much better than Duke that game but they lost.

I don't think there is anything set up yet. The curators met today to discuss something, they wouldn't tell us but it's most likely Snyder's severance pacakage. There are a lot of names on the short list right now, and the only concrete evidence is unnamed sources close to the AD.

I don't believe anything in terms of the new coach right now, especially what was reported on ESPN. They had all kinds of information that wasn't even close to being available or discussed yesterday, such as the shit they had about certain players transferring etc. I think ESPN took advantage of the whole unnamed sources thing and sensationalized a few things.

Why do players all of the sudden think that it is OK to go for a 2 point shot when you are down by 3 with 4 seconds left

I believe mismanagement of time or the player hopes to get an easy bucket with a foul for a FT shot. Dickie V said on the issue however to go for a 2 pt shot when your down by 3 unless it is less than ten seconds left.

Wow. Nova beat UConn. Like I (and pretty much every analyst I've seen/read/heard, so it's not like I'm taking credit for this) said, this is a wide-open field. Selection Sunday is less than four weeks away, and there are seriously a ton of teams that could win it.

Alford? I thought they tried to get him before they hired Davis, but he didn't want to leave Iowa.

Belien seems like the best choice there. He's done a good job recruiting for a program that doesn't have the "legacy" that an IU has. Majerus has too many health problems and, even though he's a Hoosier guy, I don't think Isiah would take the pay cut to coach a college team after running an NBA franchise.

Well Davis will step down at the end of the season. They said do not be surprised if Davis Loyalists DJ white and Robert Vaden transfer to wherever Davis ends up. Rumor is that Alford will accept the IU job if hes their number 1 choice. Andy Katz at ESPN said he sees Davis going to UAB if their current coach Mike Anderson goes to Missouri since hes from Alabama.

Wow. I was at Phog Allen today for the Mizzou/kU game, and although we got blown out it was incredible. I was sitting courtside under one of the baskets, their fans are just so good. It is non-stop action the whole time, even when they have double the points. There was a bunch of people there too, Kirk Hinrich and Wayne Simien were there. Hinrich looks like he smokes a lot of pot, I got to talk to Simien for a sec too, he is the man.

Yeah, that's got to be the stupidest college hoops play I've seen since Chris Webber's timeout in the '93 final. What Goldwire did was absolutely idiotic. I would not want to be him going to class on Monday.

Charlotte was up by two over George Washington (at GW, who are undefeated in A-10 play) with only a few seconds left. GW misses a shot, and Charlotte grabs the rebound. There's a tussle between Goldwire and one of GW's players that results in Goldwire throwing an elbow (that I'm pretty sure the refs missed)...so he throws ANOTHER elbow.

The GW player gets called for a personal foul for grabbing on Goldwire (which is why Goldwire was throwing 'bows), but Goldwire gets nailed for a technical foul.

Charlotte makes one of their two foul shots. GW comes back and hits both technical shots to narrow the lead to one. On the inbounds play, a GW player misses a three-pointer, but it's tipped in at the buzzer for a GW win.

Goldwire's temper cost his team the game.

What's worse is, if you want to watch sports tonight, that's what you get. Even if you watch something else (hockey, pro hoops, whatever), they're talking about Redick and Hansboro (or however you spell it). That's why I'm watching Panic Room on CBS.

It's kind of surprising that they would put this game on a Saturday night, after all it is probably the biggest regular season game in the country.

Nightmare day yesterday with Charlotte blowing it big time, but great night when UNC won. I was at Chapel Hill for the weekend and everyone rushed the streets and did the Bonfire thing. Dunno if they showed it on ESPN or something cause there were helicopters everywhere.
