I just don't like MVP and even if he puts in a decent match with a great opponent, it's not enough to convince me otherwise that he's suddenly something special or entertaining. I think MVP has a fine gimmick, he's just not that great from bell to bell. Watching the match at Mania was painful. Benoit was working REAL hard, and MVP was barely keeping up, even to the point of Benoit having to slow down to not loose him.

ANd then I come on here. Everyone is praising MVP. Why? Benoit BUSTED HIS ASS to make him look decent. And you all praise MVP? Crazy.

Maybe if he can overhaul his whole schtick and have an impressive match with someone else (that isn't overblown and overhpyed) then I'll take notice. But as of now I'm watching the same thing as you are and I see a power ranger with athletic talent but not much more having a DECENT series of matches with Benoit.
If he can do it with someone else who isn't as established for carrying people to great matches and shitting out quality when the bell rings, then I'll take serious notice.

I think the reason the MVP love has been so great as of late, is because people didn't expect it. For people who have seen his DSW or house show work, the guy has proven himself to have levels of awesomeness. I wouldn't say he's the best ever, or anything, but he's got a great build, great skill for said build, and he's got so many cool moves up his sleeve, the guy could make every match like sex if the WWE let him.

Unfortunately, when he came into the WWE his debut was against Marty Garner (most famous for taking Triple H's Pedigree as an inadvertent double underhook piledriver). Then he feuded with Kane. Now I love Kane, but he's not exactly the world's most brilliant technician. Putting MVP into a feud with him isn't going to show the world what Antonio Banks is capable of.

He's not perfect in any area, yet. When he goes twenty minutes or so, his matches have a lot of stalling. He has to get that down before he can truly be the great performer he is shaping up to be. His promos could also use a little more zest. They aren't horrible, but they aren't brilliant. He's got potential in that area, though, so given time, he could perfect that area.

All in all, like him or not, looking at things unbiased, you have to admit MVP is at least a B+ level talent, with potential to climb. For a guy that has had like two feuds since coming to the WWE, that is pretty impressive shit. I just have a less judgmental mindset than you i think, fair enough though thats your opinion, i hated him at first but he's grown on me before his matches with Benoit. Unlike most, I expected those matches to be good, the way MVP is built makes it easier for Benoit to get a good match out of him.

LMAO! I love the way you take shots at us for liking guys with talent in a field we like to watch.

If you like movies, take an interest in the craft of acting, and notice Ryan Gosling is one of the brightest up-and-comers in that industry, why the fuck wouldn't you support him? Why the fuck wouldn't you like him? Why the fuck wouldn't you try and talk him up to people who are willing to listen.

If you aren't willing to listen to wrestling fans discussng the bright starts of wrestling, you might as well stop watching, or have ended your life back in the early 1990's, when Ric Flair stopped being relevent. He himself is an overrated cock. Chop block, Figure Four, yay. The end.

Everyone has their flaws, just because a lot of people see the good doesn't make them overrated. Just because you're jealous because you went nowhere in the business, and those guys have fans, simply because they're probably just better than you, doesn't make them bland.

I will say however, Rocky Maivia and The Ringmaster were floundering and boring to watch at one point. He just needs a change. Decent matches are better than crappy matches. The importance in all this lies in his character, his overall performance and his ability to entertain. At the moment, he just needs to become more entertaining and not as low rent. His current caliber of matches would be fine, since 5 stars doesn't put the asses in seats as much as entertainment paired with decent work does.

From where I sit, the only thing Benoit has brought to the table in his program with MVP, is that he goes along with the matches, understands what the point of MVP's psychology is, and he co-operates. Benoit certainly hasn't been sleeping through the matches, but an idiot can see that they are designed to be vehicles for MVP to strut his stuff, and strut it well he has.

Hahahaha! I love the way Vince seems to actually have his heart (if not his mind) in the right place for his feuds, then he sticks around a little bit more than he needs to, and then he does shit like this which just fucks everything up.

The only way this will be anywhere near decent, is if Elijah Burke or CM Punk is presented with the belt by Vince McMahon on ECW this week.

As long as this advance his fued with Lashley, puts big heel heat on him and it actually does somethin for ECW I'm happy.

Perhaps a tournament to crow a new champion...while moving Lashley off of ECW to further his fued with McMahon...

That actually isn't a bad idea. Bobby Lashley really hasn't been a part of ECW. There is no real compelling reason to keep him there.

CM Punk, Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman and Snitsky should all be a part of the tournament. That's 10 guys, which is kind of messy. Maybe some kind of theme where they get everyone in ECW, put them into a competition, where once you are pinned or submit, you are out of contention. At the end of the competition, there will only be one name left, and he will be ECW World Champion.

So yeah, kind of like a tournament, only with no formal structure.
