The CPU does get pretty crazy in its unfairness when it tries to catch up sometimes.

Won my 1st online game yesterday Used the Cowboys, beat some guy playing the Chargers 31-27. To show how unrealistic this game is, Romo got knocked out early in the 3rd quarter and I was still able to throw a 60 yard bomb to TO with Brad Johnson, who IRL can barely throw 6 yards.

Brandon Jacobs roxks, I've only had like one 40+yard TD run but I always get consistent 10 yard gains. Also, if you dont want to fumble dont throw across the middle

Moss is the man. Even when the CPU kick it deep into the end zone, Sinorice can still get well past the 20 with relative ease.

Personally I think Ward sucks though. Pretty slow, he fumbled multiple times in preseason. I'm getting much better results with Aaron Ross as my #2 return guy

I'm having fun with my superstar mode so far. Fullback.

1st year: Drafted by Bills...demanded trade after 1-5 start, landed with the undefeated and first place Chiefs. We won a few games but struggled a bit too...wound up 1st in the AFC. Eliminated by the Bengals in the Divisional Round. Led the league in pancakes.

2nd year: Nowhere near as good as the first...finished 5th in pancakes. BARELY made playoffs where we demolished the Colts and then lost big time to the Pats. LJ got injured like every week, Priest retired, Croyle left, Huard stuck as QB half the team left...so I ditched.

3rd year: Took a 1-year deal with the Colts. 3-0 so far. Its hilarious cause I'll be in to block and all of a sudden Peyton audibles me into a receiver. Caught the game-winning TD pass in Week 3 against the Titans. Pancake opprotunities are down this year tho.

oh i played as an actually rookie. Ted Ginn Jr. leading the team in receptions right now, like 700 yards 6 TD through 10 games or something. how do you demand a trade? the dolphins have the worst freaking defense in the league

You demand a trade by going to your agent (though it has to be within the 6-week trade deadline or the offseason)

But yeah...after starting 5-1 with the Colts....we finished 7-9 and 3rd in the AFC South Reggie Wayne and Joseph Addai got injured constantly...and Addai's backup was like a 58 OVR. I did a whole season in a day cause there would be times where I go drives without playing due to the Colts primarily using a 2-TE set.

On a 4-year deal with the Vikings now (barely missed the playoffs in '09) and I'm gonna go back to playing most downs. Should be fun.

The fantasy draft option in this game is horrible. No point in using it.

The CPU has a set order they draft in every single time. If you have the whole draft simmed, you will get the same group of players every time...the only variable will be the team itself. Makes it incredibly easy to draft since you know who the CPU is taking.

Ed Reed always goes 1st overall...followed by Tomlinson. One team invariably wins up with Seneca Wallace as the starting QB

demanded a trade and now i am on the lions playing 1st string for some reason had an awesome season but i am a 78, roy williams and calvin johnson both a lot better than me.

all i wanna do is return kicks cause i love doing that and ginn is awesome at it but both teams put me freaking 5th on the depth chart for kick returner, so stupid

That's probably what I dislike most about using a real rookie in SS mode: you seem to automatically wind up atop the depth chart

I started one as Ahmad Bradshaw to try and work my way up from 4th string...and they put me at number 1

Yah I created myself as a 20 year old HB, started as like a 23 overall or something (2nd year and my stats are basically exploding, gone up to 99 speed without even trying) but 1st year I got put in as the starter by the Cowboys

So many stupid little things they just cannot be bothered to fix. Like getting an email every year around the draft telling you the same thing as the 1st year. And not even bothering to get the coding right for when in game it shows closeups of the coaches - if I've just thrown a 50 yard pass why is the coach of the team on defence applauding? Fucking idiots.

Question: Is there any way to play co-op games online or some form of online franchise? A buddy and I are looking to do something like that, we used to play 2 players on the same team franchise mode before I moved. Any ideas??

Am I doing something wrong? My players dont get any better.

During my first 3 years in Franchise Mode as the Bills, I have went 5-11 (simmed), 13-3 winning the bowl, and 11-5 winning the bowl, and combined, my guys have gained a collective 12 points....the whole team added 12 points. in comparison, brandon Marshall added 15 in those 3!

All my guys do really well stat wise, and they perform over their ratings. My qb has done 3 straight pro bowls, has been top 4 in all stats and he hasnt gotten any better. I have hired all new coaches and WTF!

I look every offeason, like the broncos and chargers have about 40 poitns of imporrvment (always a guy with +5 at least) and I have nothing, most I have seen is a +2.

Whats up wit dat?

haha yeah so I was in my 4th year...the first of a 4-year deal I signed with the Vikes. Their ratings were good, seemed to have a really good team...

...and we started 0-5. The D blew every single game for us. I played well though, among the leaders in pancakes and catching a good deal of passes.

Frustrated, I demanded a trade and wound up on the Seahawks. 3-0 since I got there, blocking for Alexander is fun, he can break out some ridiculous runs. The team's built to win the SB this year, cause Hasselbeck is a FA after the season, Alexander will be 34, Walter Jones will be 37, etc.

i made them trade me to the COLTS where i actually return kicks and now a 3rd string WR the best situation cause i am already doing better than i did with the lions (68/880ish/2 TD). It is great to have a quarterback who won't throw 5 INTs every game like Trent Green and Jon Kitna would do, computer seems to forget how to manage a team in superstar mode. Like when Kitna had his fourth 4 INT game was it impossible to sit him out and start the rookie who is rated 1 total point below him

The AI for superstar mode needs a revamping. The playcalling is stupid, like Vito said, you get catapulted to #1 on the depth chart for many of the positions, and the computer is plain stupid.

So as a TE I am a 92 to start, basically Im shockey. I was drafted by the Bills ( I was happy, they are my team) and basically I never saw the field, and only had like 55 catches for 2 TD. Still made the pro bowl. But the Bills suck and their Playbook rarely uses a TE, so I demanded a trade, adn landed with the Jets. I hate them in RL but their Offense is great for me. First game with them Pennington hit me 9 times for 125 yards and 2 TD. Alot of sets with the TE spread out wide, which is good as I have 92 Speed as a TE (Nice!)
