Got a PS2? Play the original. So much better than 2, 80s or 3. 2 and 80s had really shitty covers for some reason and 3 had fairly shit bonus tracks except for Lacuna Coil. The only things the other have on GH1 are easier hammer on/pull offs and 2 player mode actually had you playing different note charts.

I only went through 80's once on Frets on Fire, but I seem to remember Bang Your Head being really fun. Play With Me is an obvious choice as well.

Breaking through the fire and the flames to bring you this week's Guitar Hero: Smash Hits track list update, the game's publisher, Activision, likely embraced the coolness of some nearby raining blood before continuing on. But the company didn't stop, not even to lay down for a moment, as it knew that in order for you fine folks to rock and roll all night, it must persist in its journey.

Week by week we've been going through the song order one by one according to your votes, and with the Activision pre-E3 event on the horizon Activision has just let the final list slip exclusively though IGN (until 4,000 blogs steal it and pawn it off as their own, which will take about 12 seconds). This week brings a fewer amount of songs, though we're getting the lowdown from not only the 80s edition, but also a single off Guitar Hero Aerosmith.

Well that sucks. At least GH Aerosmith being on there gives me hope that GH 2 and 3 will eventually be patched for use with the RB guitar.

Doing the meth, I'd pay forty dollars for the tracks I wanted as DLC, assuming no packs or price breaks otherwise. This is for Smash hits, of course, because we don't know the track lists on the rest. Not only do I save 20 bucks, but the only time I ever have to play TTFAF is if I somehow make friends with someone who thinks the idea of sucking thirty dicks at once is cool.

Now, the core titles can be a little different. But these additional games tend to not have 84 tracks.

Tracklist isn't as bad as I thought it would be. They were smart and kept most of the good GH1 tracks, but WTF no Frankenstein, Iron Man or Spanish Castle Magic?

And like I thought, none of the bonus songs made it in. Shoulda been fucking DLC. Gonna bargain bin it like I did with GH Aerosmith... which I should actually play sometime.

I'd say Iron Man was due to unusable masters, but since there's already a live song....
