What do you do just rank your players before hand if you're gonna miss a draft? Probably gonna end up missing whoever's draft is on the 21st. Might be back towards the end of it.

Hi,

I haven't changed the time. I think it might be taking into account the changes in DST in North America. I didn't take it into account when posting the times the other day. Sorry about that.

Supreme - why is 4pm on a sunday a bad time? - considering that we have to go from the pacific to Europe which is a 8/9 hour time difference I am not sure what time I could have chosen which would have satisfied everyone.

no its fine I just have stuff to do and I had it figured out around a 3 PM start time

The auction draft was fun, even if it took 3 hours. More interesting than the regular draft type.

Anyway, for my team my offense is crazy and my pitching sucks. Have CC and a bunch of question marks.

That draft was fun. Not sure I'd ever do more than one of those a year due to the time-consuming nature of it, but definitely would be game for doing it again in 2011. If they have them for NFL I'd give that a try as well.

I like my team, starting Sizemore and Jones in OF and then can pick between Hamilton, Ibanez, and Ludwick for the 3rd OF and UTIL spots. Plus I'll stash Beltran on the DL. If he's back healthy and all my OFs play to potential I'll definitely be entertaining trade offers

I can't see next year doing a traditional draft. Auction is far superior. Hope hockey uses that next season too.

It was so much better both in terms of entertainment and rewarding good drafting strategy instead of taking the best available.

yeah. You can have Pujols, Arod, Hanley all on your team if you really want. It's so different like you said than just taking the next best player availble. No more random who gets the top players by luck of yahoo draft position.

Jason Heyward. Was thinking of picking him up for $1 near the end. Can't believe I paid 7 for him. But overall I was really surprised how low so many guys went for. When I did a mock draft it was so different. Picking up BJ Upton for 10 seems like a steal. Crazy how that played out today.

So how does the waiver wire work in an auction league again? Since we have a waiver budget, we bid on the free agents and then whoever has the highest bid gets that guy? So there's no waiver wire order?

I did a mock prior, I paid $83 combined for Lincecum and Greinke.

That makes the most sense and seems the most interesting so I am guessing yes.

As with any waiver wire transaction you dont find out who gets him until the waiver date.

Really surprised at what the computer was able to give me. Overbid for Weaver at $10, but got Mariano at a reasonable $12 and Josh Johnson for $17 which is about what I would've bid for him. Also Victorino for $1, holy shit.

Overall pretty happy with the auction draft. Got Haren for $25, Beckett for $15, Rollins for like $10, Broxton for $9 which was funny cause Hoffman went for $8 near the end. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. With Howard, Utley, AND Rollins though my offense isn't as diversified team-wise as I'd like. Good thing the Phillies have one of the best offenses in baseball.

Nomination time couldn't make less. That's still 30sec. but the bidding is cut to 20. then after <10 whenever someone bids it goes back to 10sec.
