Yeah Drew showed up tonight for a nice Red Sox win. They got to be consisent because the Yankees have won 7 of their last 9 I believe.

Guillermo Mota makes me sick.

Matt Stairs.

When the Jays signed him, I saw it as a step backwards. Hell, he's a Canadian and all, but I just didn't think he was the type of bat the Jays needed for this team.

Wrong.

The guy just hit HR #9, he's playing with quiet confidence and really plays hard all the time. He's been in the outfield, 1B, DH. He's been a great utility player that possesses pop. I hope his average stays decent, that's the one thing I remain concerned about.

Big days from Abreu and A-Rod today, 2 more HRs for A-Rod.

Clippard was pretty awful but 6th straight win anyway.

Now we get to face Arizona and the Mets though, so it should be a better test. Webb vs. Wang on Tuesday should be a great game.

1-0 can be a very exciting game. For me anyway, because I lie good pitching. Not only that, but take for EG the other night. The Dodgers twice had the bases loaded with 1 out and yet were unable to score.

Yeah, I'm just happy we don't have to face Randy. Since Randy was the one who beat Dice K yesterday it looks like we're missing him in the Yankee series. I think Clippard will bounce back once he faces the Mets again. Yeah, Tuesday's match should be a great match.

Clippard needs to start being more efficient with his pitches. After that 6-inning outing in his first start versus the Mets he has gone 4, 5, 5 and 3.2 innings. He's kept us in most games but he still needs to eat some innings. Especially with Clemens being a 5-6 inning pitcher.

He doesn't give the hitters much to think about. With Towers it's always a strike or close to being one. They get too comfortable in the batter's box.

Bonds giveth, Bonds taketh away. Terrible outfielding that lead to the Jays 3 runs in the 1st inning. Bonds hit a 2 run HR. Like I said right from the go, San Fran had a chance because Towers was pitching.
