They couldn't have picked a worse week to release it on a Sunday. Gonna be at my dad's most of the day and then of course it's the one week the Giants play on Sunday Night Football. Hopefully it's a blowout or something so I can squeeze in a few matches before bed and work/classes the next day.

Yeah, impact finishers only and although you can do 8 powerbombs in a row, they will be basic powerbombs as all the cool ones are move finishers.

Got it today on the 360 and only played a few matches. Played two matches in CM Punks RTW and an Inferno Match against Kane. The game seems to play a lot better then last years and the Inferno Match is brilliant. I'll have to play more matches to really get a good idea of it but so far I'm loving it.

I don't like the inferno match. I did it once (zombie Santino FTW) but not a fan. Still, the rest of the game makes up for it..

The new roof HIAC animation blows. It's the same except you swing like a monkey off the top. Come on, why, several years on is DoR 2's HIAC still the best?

Yinno I still play Smackdown: HCTP, imo they had the speed/movement and overall gameplay spot on, and since then they have all been utter shit.

I think the actual matches in this new one are better, but the single player of HCTP is still better.

I have to disagree. I prefer this overall to HCTP. And I thought HCTP was awesome. I've been blown away by this.

Bit let down by the CAF tbh. You can only do impact finishers (As said further up) and those are fairly limited (as far as what I've seen).

I wanted to make a ludicrous Shooting Star DDT!

Aside from that the game is looking good. Already done Jericho's RTW.

I've completed all the RTW's, got all the belts in career, unlocked every wrestler, but there is still a "?" on the video selection on create an entrance. There is no "?" on music so I have no idea what it could be.

I've not had the achievement for unlocking everything in RTW though, so I guess I have to lose a couple of fights....

This is going to tbe the first time in a long time where I don't get the gamet hat comes out on the first day. Gotta get a 360

I have a feeling I'm gonna be let down by the CAF. Next year they most likely will add stuff, like top rope finishers if you cant do that, then they'll add submission then they'll just add any kind of finisher from any kind of position. Why they can't just ADD EVERYTHING IN THE FIRST TIME is beyond me.

Got this earlier and I love it. First Smackdown game I've bought for 2 years and I haven't been let down. One question though, can you have the Wrestlemania XXIV set at the Citrus Bowl or is it always indoors? Found that a bit disappointing.

Hmm, I'm not liking the new out of the ring camera angles (which you can't appear to turn off) but otherwise it seems like an improvement on last year all round.

Yeah, the depth perception is hard to get used to. Try grabbing an inring opponent and your likely to miss.

So is the career mode decent? I'm getting this tomorrow, and was curious.

I heard it was really repetitive, but the RTWM and Career modes were my big selling point on this game. How are they?

I've played Chris Jericho's road to Wrestlemania so far and that was awesome. I expect the rest will be just as good.

The career mode is basically just matches, no storylines or segments or anything. You're selected what title to challenge for, then you have a certain number of points that you have to obtain which you gain from winning matches until you can finally challenge for that title. I won the US title with Edge, so I have now unlocked the ECW title path and the IC title path.

I've only done Takers and Rey/Batista's RTW at the moment. I like how you had to beat Boogeyman in the story to unlock him, its a cool idea that was lost in wrestling games with the induction of Legends and VO as a combination(for obvious reasons).

Do you have to do the same with Tazz in someones story? That would be cool. Or does he just become available when you've finished a story(like McMahon)

Another annoyance. in career mode, I've won all the titles, yet not been inducted into the hall of fame and there is an achievement for inducting FIVE wrestlers into the HoF. It took me long enough to get the titles

I've not played as Tazz but I'm pretty sure I seen an SS Tazzmission in the CAW move list.

not sure on the 2nd part. I think I seen "Before the end of the year" somewhere though.

I was dead set on using Punk first but I think I'm gonna break my tradition of using a different guy first in season each year and use Jericho first. Seems like an awesome storyline plus apparently you can unlock the WCW brand and title quickly in that story. Wanna set up my sim fed.
