Seriously though, how do I know what horse I'm on??? John Marston might be able to tell, so whats wrong with having the thing down the bottom right ala GTA.

I've tried this too, but I have the same problem. I've tried doing it without using dead eye as well, but I'll get to 4 and then run out of bullets. I'm using the Evans repeater btw. 22 max shots.

Trying to finish up all the odd bits that I didn't get done earlier in story mode and I'm missing the Aztec Gold and California stranger missions, where can I find these people?

California is near The Scratching Post, and Aztec Gold is found in Sidewinder Gulch. Just set a waypoint there and use fast travel via your campsite and you're set man.

I loaded mine up, and it's partially fixed. My rare guns and strangers are updated, for example. It's still behind. It's like 96.8 now, when my games says 99.2.

It could be because your connections aren't allowing you to connect. I've had that happen tons of times myself and it's annoying as shit.
