Gotta admit, some options just not clear despite effort to streamline the interface. The Stamina system is broken, I turn it off now. What do I have to tell me I'm close to breaking down? I do like that this is the first game to take limb damage into gameplay in more ways than "Oh you could submit or get pinned now."

If you can choose what Hardcore moves you could do with the chair (like previous years) please tell me how. Making a big deal out of new weapon grapples and not giving us options to customize that is f'n stupid. Like honest to God game-development stupid.

You do realise hardcore weapon moves can only be done with people with the hardcore fighting style?

Which is why I either go to hardcore types or give hardcore style to someone just to see if I can adjust the hardcore moves.

Everyone has the same moves for hardcore... grapple on ground for the lionsault... dont know how to do the ladder thing though(the one where you put it on your shoulders and spin...

You can buy some upgrade packs in wwe shop. Only brings them up to a certain point then you have to use them in 24/7 mode to increase them more.

Has anyone tried their custom music online yet? Can the opponent hear the custom music? Probably not since the N/A online shit shows up again on CAW when you pick certain designs.

After some extensive play time with my buds (a mess of 4-Way bouts for each title), I have these comments:

Turn off Stamina, it no longer works in this play engine. Some of you may have already did this and I for one do not miss it.

Possum Pin is the greatest way to win a match, but I still don't understand it being a High Flyer thing.

Doesn't pay to be a Showman at all; more risks than rewards.

A nice long 4plyr Ladder Match is still the most fun gametype in a wrestling game.

The targeting system is trash and I'd love to hear the reason for taking out the Manual 1/2 options. we need some type of Afterthoughts interview for that and a number of other odd and disappointing exclusions.

It's not bad, not great. Extreme rules is fun. Lack of targeting means I can't do half the fun stuff I used to do in years past.

Yeah i think targeting is my biggest issue too. But thats the only big problem. 24/7 is still screwed up. Normally on these games I'll plough straight through season and unlock everything, but this year I've only been playing it on and off, but mostly playing exhibition.

If they'd kept targeting in, and left season mode alone, or even put it back to text, this game would be great.

How do you powerbomb someone onto the steel steps?
And I still can't grab a sign from the crowd! (never managed to do it in 07 either)

You have to do the Ultimate Control Powerbomb (The Lesnar Style one, not the Crucifix style one) and then walk over to dislodge stairs, and Powerbomb them on it...however never gave me my archivement for doing so.

Does anyone know if you can trade created wrestlers by memory card? Or is it only online...Im trying to trade some created people with my cousin who doesnt have online...

I've been playing this fora few days now. I think its great. The new fighting styles are great (High flyer is awesome), theyve added some new match types, like Beat the Clock, 24/7 mode so far is fun due to the adding of achievements, nearly every move from the RKO to a freakin headlock takedown has been reanimated, even the hard irish whip into the buckle has been reanimated. The submission thing is great, the ultimate control reversal system is great, I just think that there are alot of positive elements about this game. THere are a few cons that I can live with, like mentioned before, possum pin....anybody can do that, and hardcore moves like a DDT onto a chair......anybody can do that....but its liveable.

THe only real complaint I have is the roster. How come no Highlanders, Cade and Murdoch, Deuce and Domino, WGTT, and Santino Marella?

Other than that, I'm really enjoying this. It doesnt get old when I become the Sandman and smash the shit out of Kelly Kelly with a chair

Oh wow this is just lazy they take out nwo Logos (unless you have to buy them or something stupid) for Caws but leave it in as a crowd sign.

Has anyone played a complete season of 24/7 mode as a GM? If so, maybe you could tell me: Can you still hook up 2 controllers, select your 10-20 stars for your brand and then sim all the way to WM23 to get the GM of the Year Award cheaply/easily? Wondering because I don’t really want to waste a bunch of effort unlocking Vince...

Even thru the archivement says Any Game Mode, found out it doesn't work in 24/7 Mode, ended up getting my Powerbomb Archivement when I did it in an regular match outside the mode.

Dunno. I used Khali in my first 30-man rumble last night and i did it on legend as the numero uno entry to earn the HoF points for doing so...was pretty much a breeze.

Tried GM mode with 2 controllers and you have to sim EVERY DAY for each brand. It won't let you sim all the way to Wrestlemania.

So I'm US Champ with CM Punk, right? And my 'buddy' is WWE Champ with Randy Orton. He's talking down to me because in the last big session between us guys I came out with one title while he got one of the big two. I tell him its not the title, its the prestige (I already defended my US Title, he's a new champ) and my belt has more prestige than his whatever level it is. He gets big-headed and offers me a challenge against him playing as Edge with Orton (CPU) in his corner. If I, as Punk, can beat Edge I can face Orton for his WWE Title. I'm like shit-yeah. If I were to lose Edge would have a free challenge for my US Title. I was down for the stipulations. The game was on.

Edge(Buddy) vs CM Punk(Me)
He's using his Dirty Style to the FULLEST, doing everything it could offer as well as using Orton all tactical wise. I use my Submission Style to ease my limb damage and soften him up for an Anaconda Vice. After some of the damndest cheating done against me, I get him in a Dragon Sleeper with Ultimate Submission activated. Right as he taps he gets Orton to distract the reff. I'm pissed. What do I do? I lock it on again, and this time the reff sees me making Edge tap.

CM Punk(Me) w/HBK(CPU) vs Randy Orton(Buddy) w/Edge(Human Controlled!!) Title vs Title
Its main event time, and this cowardly sack of crap gets another dude to play as his ring enforcer while I got the CPU playing as HBK in my corner. I mix up my attacks and wait till his limbs are colored before I lock any submissions, while he waits for the perfect chance to steal a win. I lock three Dragon Sleepers in a row (all broken up by Edge) before he retreats out of the ring. I see him going under the ring for a chair and I try to get a free shot in during the animation, but that was his intent. The second I make it outside of the ring he smashes me with a chairshot, ending the biggest match since we got this game with a DQ.

As you can imagine I'm pissed and can't wait til he faces me in an Extreme Rulez Match... not even for the title either. He needs a lesson in humiliation that tapping out can bring. And I will try to take that title with Punk real soon.

Can anyone justify for me exactly why the fuck I can't make a Heavyweight Brawler/Submissionist? The game literally forces me to be Light Heavyweight or below if I make a CAW with Brawler and Submission styles. Did I miss something?

Yeah, just not as happy as most years. Usually I'm excited to get it when it comes out, and is for the most part the only game I play for the 1st few months. Where as with this one, I can tell its a good game, and it is fun. But it just lacks that special something. So this year I've been playing Assassins Creed, PES, as well as PC games instead of it.

So to sum up, I'm happy with it, just not as much as I should be.

Damninator you can just use 1 player on GM mode, sign 2 superstars for a year, and simulate all the way to Mania and have a title match. You don't have to win GM of the year to unlock Vince.
