First match from Taboo Friday is RVD vs Big Show in a hardcore match:
- Match starts with RVD going for a pin attempt, with that kick that turns into a craddle, and gets a two count. Big Show gets whiped into some boxes then into this machine that shoots out pyro right in Big Show's face! RVD then whips Show into the wire mesh, where wrestlers have their interviews done IRL, which falls down. - Big Show gets whiped into the steal garage door, which lifts up slightly. RVD places Show under the actual door and rams it down onto Show's chest! Show is whiped into more wire mesh before RVD gets a chair, a couple of shots from that and Show is out. - A Rolling Thunder is followed by a nasty looking shot to the face with the steps on Show. Liking the way the steps seem heavier than HCTP. Show is getting completly destroyed by the steps. RVD goes for a suplex, but cant lift him. This starts a Show revival. - Show whips RVD into some boxes and takes him down with a bulldog. Show hits a couple of leg drops on RVD, then Show hits the Showstopper and wins! Bit of a shocking result, RVD was killing him early on but then after the momentum shifted to Show, there was no stopping him. Liked some of the new backstage interactions, when you went past the TV in the back, you actually saw your guys wrestling on it, which is pretty cool. Next up is Mike Regan (with Paul Heyman) vs Eddie Guerrero. |

Mike Regan (with Paul Heyman) vs Eddie Guerrero:
- Regan comes out first, with Paul Heyman behind him. Thats right, managers actually show up on the enterances this time and they dont just walk down. They mainly stay back, taunting the crowd, but it looks very good. - Regan is actually controlling Heyman for this match, so its COM vs COM. Not much really happens, just has Heyman interfering alot of the time. - Heyman gets his dirty special up and low blows Eddie a number of times during the match. Regan eventually wins by countout due to Heyman pounding on Eddie on the outside. Its interesting to see the managers actually have a significant role this year. They come out with your wrestler, you can somewhat control them when your wrestling (press up on the left analogue to get them to distract the ref, down to grab a weapon), so for the first time really, they serve a purpose other than to say you have one. Next is 3 Way Hell in a Cell. |

(for long matches I will write just brief/important notes, rather than a somewhat PbP)
Hell in a Cell - Undertaker vs Batista vs Kane: - Taker hits Kane with the tombstone early on, but is broken up by Batista. - Batista has alot of Brock's old moves, the take downs and power moves mainly. - Undertaker's finishers are the Tombstone and Last Ride. - Kane's finishers are the Chokeslam and pinning powerbomb from last year. - Batista has got two powerbomb finishers. - Batista wins after tombstoning Taker. - When Batista tombstoned Taker, it was really glitchy. Taker was floating on Batista's should and his face went through Takers ass at one point. The pin itself was glitched, which ment that Kane couldn't kick out the pin. I guessing this will be fixed by the time of release. - Nice animation of Batista celebrating his win on top of the Hell in a Cell, starts off like it did in HCTP, but has abit extra after he raises his arms. Next is Rene Dupree and the Dudley's vs Scotty 2 Hotty and Rico & Haas. |

Rene Dupree and the Dudley's vs Scotty 2 Hotty and Rico & Haas.
Nothing really major happens in this one, Rene is a ring hog and spends most of the match in the ring. His finisher is the Dupree Driver, which is like a modified Rikishi Driver. The match ends in a time limit draw.

Next is the fatal four way ladder match, its Jericho vs HBK vs Edge vs Christian:
- Within the first 30 seconds we see Jericho giving Edge the Edgeicution, Christian trying to give Jericho the Walls of Jericho (but is reversed), a sick ladder shot, a moonsault off the top of the ladder and a Sweet Chin Music (most of these happened on Edge, poor guy )- Nothing new really happens, the controls are the same as last year, along with some animations. The new animations have already been explained in previous posts. - Jericho wins the match. |

Hmmm... I wonder if they'll make managers more important in the season mode? Like having them accompanying you to the ring in every match. And then maybe turning on you two or three months down the road, and pitting you against a new protege.... |

^ I'd be all for that.
I hated in HCTP how you'd get a manager, and that would be the focus of your story for a month, then after the PPV, you didn't have a manager anymore, with no explanation of where she went. Then, if you wanted to include her in your stable, your partner seemed surprised that you would pick her. It's not like we made out three months ago at the pay-per-view or anything! |

Kurt Angle vs Tajiri vs John Cena:
- First 10 seconds in and we see Cena give Angle the Angle Slam - Tajiri grabs a table and then hits his Buzzsaw kick on Angle - Tables disappear after three hits, kinda strange really. - Angle hits Cena with the F-U (same as HCTP one), Angle goes to pin Cena, but Tajiri breaks it up by twating the ref with the chair. - Cena plants Tajiri throw the table with a scoop slam, doesn't appear to be any new table animations. - SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS NEW F-U! It's pretty sweet. Opponant goes for a clothesline, which Cena ducks. Cena then does his "You cant see me" taunt, kick to the gut, hoist up on shoulder and plants them down ![]() - Tajiri hits Cena with the F-U, looks pretty funny him doing it. - Tajiri goes to kick Angle but Angle reverses it into the Ankle Lock, looks quite impressive. - Angle scoop slams Tajiri through tha table and pins him. Really like the new F-U, I used to swap between the F5 and F-U as my CAW in HCTP, but I think I will be sticking with this new F-U for this game

Shelton Benjamin vs Triple H
- Not much really happens here, Shelton has his Splash move in, or Stinger Splash if you will. He gets some big air on the move and it sets up nicely for a finisher. - Shelton has most control during the match, Triple H has his moments, but Shelton walks away with the win after the Splash/Superkick combo. |

there are entrances like Eugene Dinsmore,Stone Cold Steve Austin,Hulk Hogan,Jeff Hardy,Luke/Butch(Bushwackers), and Goldbergs, but no Ultimate Warrior + no tassles for his arm/knee pads and you can have up to 5 ppl per stable but w/o the ability to set managers but as disturbed said, they do come out will you and could get banned if there used to much

I think the coolest thing in HCTP was when you formed a stable and then you would ask people if they wanted to join and say like Jericho would turn you down. Then the next week it's 2 0n 1 in the ring after the match and then Jericho would come running down. Your like "Yesss, Jericho is here to help." Then he just joins in on the beat down and your like "Mother Fucker." LOL. Good swerve. To bad I saw it coming everytime after that. |

I wish there were more chair specials. Van Daminator, Throat Crusher whatever, DDT; all nice, but I can be alot more creatve. Even Raw 2 had a decent amount of chair moves. Though poorly animated and executed.

Superstar of the Day #21
Height: 6'5" Real Name: Adam Copeland Weight: 240lbs How many of us can say that we accomplished our lifelong dream? How many of us can say that we're doing exactly what we wanted to do when we were children? Edge can. One of the brightest young stars in WWE, Edge sat on the floor for WrestleMania VI at SkyDome in Toronto, watching Hulk Hogan battle the Ultimate Warrior. Although he was only 16 at the time, Edge already knew that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Hogan and Warrior; he wanted to be a WWE Superstar. Twelve years later, almost 70,000 fans watched Edge defeat Booker T at WrestleMania X8 at SkyDome in Toronto. Edge had already accomplished a career highlight at SkyDome -- in July 1999, he won the Intercontinental Championship there. After a hiatus of more than a year due to neck surgery, Edge returned to WWE action and was immediately drafted by RAW. His vision is set on achieving his dream of winning the World Heavyweight Championship. The Canadian Superstar has excelled in both singles and tag-team action. Along with his brother, Christian, he won the Tag Team Championship seven times, a record for a duo that stood for some time. Edge & Christian were also part of some of the most memorable tag matches in history -- including the Ladder Match at WrestleMania 2000; the Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Match at SummerSlam in 2000; TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven; and TLC III on the May 24, 2001 episode of SmackDown! Edge officially became a force in the singles division when he won the 2001 King of the Ring Tournament. A few months later, he defeated Christian in an epic Ladder Match at No Mercy 2001 to become the Intercontinental Champion. In fact, he has already won the Intercontinental Championship on multiple occasions. Superstar of the Day #22
Height: 7' Real Name: Glen Jacobs Weight: 326lbs There's nothing small about Kane. At seven feet tall, and over 300 pounds, the Big Red Monster has been terrorizing opponents, and making waves since his debut seven years ago. And even that was huge. Following months of speculation, Kane made his first appearance on October 5, 1997, at Badd Blood, when he ripped the cage door off during a match between Shawn Michaels and Undertaker—the first-ever Hell in the Cell. Kane and 'Taker then stood toe to toe during a chilling stare down, until Kane kicked the Phenom in the stomach, and Tombstoned him in the center of the ring, allowing a bloodied and battered Michaels to pin Undertaker for the victory. Despite the unwarranted attack, Undertaker vowed he would not wage war against his own flesh and blood in front of a national audience, but as Kane's assaults continued, the Deadman was left with no choice. At WrestleMania XIV, the half-brothers met for the first time in singles competition, and after three Tombstones, 'Taker was victorious. After his brutal WrestleMania match, Kane continued to climb the ranks, and at King of the Ring '98, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane clashed in a First Blood Match -- the first competitor to make his opponent bleed would win the match. As an added stipulation, Kane promised that if he lost he'd set himself on fire. This match gave Kane a distinct advantage over Austin; since he wore a mask and most of his body was covered by his red ring attire, it was nearly impossible to confirm if he was bleeding. During the match, the referee was knocked out, and Undertaker ran to the ring to interfere. He missed a chair shot on Kane and nailed Austin in the head, busting him wide open. Even bloodied, Austin continued his assault on Kane, but when the referee regained consciousness, he awarded the match to Kane. 'Taker later revealed that he intended to bust open Stone Cold so that Kane wouldn't set himself on fire. The next night on RAW, Mr. McMahon decorated the ring with a red canvas, and only eight months after his debut, Kane was crowned the new WWE Champion. However, his reign was one of the shortest ever, as Kane lost the title back to Austin later that night. Since his loss to Stone Cold, Kane has has enjoyed several reigns as the Intercontinental, Hardcore, and World Tag Team Champion - that he held with RVD. And it was during his pairing with RVD, that Kane experienced one of the most emotional nights of his career. After being egged on for weeks about becoming "soft," Kane agreed to a match, where if he was didn't win, he would remove his trademark mask. Despite a valiant effort, Kane was unsuccessful, and as RAW came to a close, the seven-footer untied, and removed his veil, revealing his hideous mug to the world. Once the mask was removed, Kane turned on his five-star friend, and began a violent trail of destruction. Shortly after his epiphany, Kane assaulted WWE CEO Linda McMahon, and set RAW announcer Jim Ross on fire. These actions forced Shane McMahon to return to action, in order to defend his family's honor, but even the risk-taking the young McMahon couldn't stop the Big Red Monster's rage. At Survivor Series in 2003, Kane attacked Undertaker once again, and buried him alive with a bulldozer. For the following months, the Deadman haunted his younger sibling, before announcing that at WrestleMania XX, the two would meet one more time. Since then, Kane has been randomly attacking anyone who crosses his path. He violently assaulted Shawn Michaels, putting him out of action, and he's recently made life miserable for Lita & Matt Hardy. Perhaps no one on the roster, male or female, is safe from Kane's wrath, and only time will tell who his next victim will be. Notes on Edge:
- "I think you know me" hits the PA system, wish he still had Zombie's music, and Edge comes out looking like a retard. So far the enterance is very life like. Edge runs from side to side, taunting to the crowd. He walks to the ring and slides in. He climbs the ropes and taunts abit more. - It's Edge vs Christian. The match starts with a little warm up animation, then they start fighting. Edge looks strange with no elbow pads. Edge hits a clothesline followed by a dropkick. Edge then hits Christian with the Flatliner then a face buster. When Christian is down he puts him in a head vice. - A Kick, Headlock takedown and a dropkick to the back of Christian in a nice bit of fluid wrestling there. Edge locks in that submission he had from HCTP, but Christian gets to the ropes. - Another clothesline by Edge is followed by a suplex. Edge taunts abit whilst Christian is down. Edge kicks Christian in the gut and hits the Edgecution and wins after 2:12. Meh, nothing really interesting. Probably doesn't help that I dont like Edge. He does look good though. |

Notes on Kane:
- Music starts and Pyro follows (although its the other way round IRL) and Kane comes out. He struts to the ring and does his lifting arms then pyro thing. By the way, I'm so glad they have included Slow Chemical this year, its such a kickass song. - Its Kane vs Matt Hardy. Video starts 30 seconds in. Kane is on the mat getting the crap kicked out of him by Hardy. Hardy climbs the turnbuckle but gets thrown off. Kane gives Hardy a choketoss then a full nelson slam. - Hardy starts to fight back abit, before Kane hits back with a huge right hand. Kane picks up Hardy and slams him down in a powerslam. Kane hits a huge right then a sidewalk slam. JR says that Kane is beating him like a goveurnment mule! - Hardy knocks Kane to the outside and gets a big boot to the face. Kane gets back in the ring and Hardy follows him. Hardy runs at Kane but gets a tiltawerl backbreaker. Kane picks up Hardy and give him his Chokeslam finisher and pins him after 3:14. |

Superstar of the Day #23
Height: 6'10" Real Name:Mark Calaway Weight: 328lbs If any one Superstar symbolizes WWE, it's the Undertaker. For more than a dozen years, the Undertaker has been a WWE mainstay. He's battled all the greats -- from Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior to Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock -- and lived to tell about it. No other Superstar has ever had the run of success enjoyed by the Deadman -- no one. A multiple-time WWE Champion, Taker has had the privilege of performing in main events all over the U.S., North America and the world. In fact, Taker's WrestleMania record is second to none -- he is an amazing 12-0 at WrestleMania. The Undertaker has also been at the forefront of some of the most original matches and concepts in WWE history. He is the innovator of Inferno Matches, Casket Matches, and, of course, the famed Hell in the Cell. He is also constantly in the hunt for the WWE Championship.
