I wonder if they would be willing to put the WWE franchise under the EA Sports brand. I remember those shitty EA WCW games, but maybe it'll be different now.

EA did the Def Jam games, right? That's an engine that could be tweaked into a pretty solid WWE game.

It's definitely time for a new WWE game built from scratch, I just hope whoever gets the job has longer than a year to make it.

I think if EA were to get the WWE license, they'd get Yukes as well considering their experience with the series.

Only other developer with current experience would be Spike but they are tied to Namco and I think the DBZ series makes them more money than the WWE series could.

AKI changed their name to syn Sophia years ago and according to Wikipedia mostly do handheld/arcade games now. Haven't done a wrestling type game since the Def Jam series.

Getting pretty fucking bored of this already. I loved the AE mode, and the gameplay is just fine. But it's just not doing anything to hold me in.

Gonna keep it on my shelf and play Skyrim (only got it the other day) seeing as I paid out for the Fan Axess, I'll at least want to try the DLC before I sell up.

I think the problem with skipping a year is more WWE mandated than a conscious decision by thq, although I doubt they can afford the loss of revenue either, we all bitch about the games year after year but 99% of us still buy it regardless because of whatever shiny new tweak they've made so why would they? It clearly needs an overhaul but there is that risk of getting Impact starring Triple H when someone else picks up the license.

I'm resigned to the fact that we'll continue to get the same game every year with tweaks and updated rosters, but with THQ possibly going under it could very well mean the WWE license goes elsewhere and the games get a reboot of sorts.

If THQ recover from their financial problems, maybe they could concurrently build a new WWE game like they did with Legends or All Stars, and work on it slowly until it's ready to take over from the current gaming engine.

Does anyone else have a hard time doing groggy grapples? It seems like I always end up doing the submission. I wonder if I'm not pushing the analog stick hard enough or at a angle instead of up, down, left, or right. Pissing me off. I can only see the anaconda vise so many times before I'm like FUCKKKKKKK. I love the epic setting though. My CAW had a kick ass debut match on NXT vs Daniel Bryan and I had an awesome NXT Championship scramble match that Billy Gunn won (My CAW/Ryder/Rhodes/Gunn/DiBiase). Then, the 3 way I had between Billy Gunn, my CAW, and John Cena with Special Guest Referee Cody Rhodes was stupendous in which my CAW prevailed via fast count to win the NXT Championship. No doubt the ensuing Billy Gunn/Cody Rhodes feud will be amazing.

Epic mode isn't just cheap countering. I've yet to scream "COME THE FUCK ON!!!!" like in years past on hard difficulties. It is back and forth and exciting and I actually feel like I'm trying to win instead of frantically pressing RT and hoping I can pull off a finisher eventually or keep purposefully breaking up pin attempts or letting go of submissions to make the match longer/more exciting.

They have screencaps of all the DLC packs and everything so I assume it is ready to go. They should have it to where you can get all DLC when DLC Pack 1 comes out if you have Fan Axxess as an incentive to purchase Fan Axxess.

PSN had the all axxcess pass on sale for $10 bucks instead of $20 the first week I'm not complaining just wish they release all the wrestlers at once my game feels incomplete.
