Big win for the Sox tonight cause the Yankees lost. Pedroia 5-5, looking like an all-star. Also good to see Drew actually hitting the ball. Maybe having him lead off won't be so bad if he keeps turning it around, at least it's better than Lugo and Crisp leading off with their sub .300 OBP.

Pinella did something awsome over the past 2 weeks. He's playing all the young players. Its fantastic. Shawn Marshall, Angel Guzmon. These guys are getting time with the vets in there like Lee and Soriano and the Cubbies are headed up. Hopefully it continues.

Derosa is the man. Probably my new favorite Cubbie.

I was driving home from the Reds game a couple nights ago listening to a postgame radio show and the host had an interesting topic: how many baseball players are there right now that you would pay to see. He was talking about how there aren't many true superstars in the game right now like there were in the past. So I was asking myself this question and the list I came up with looks like this:

Alex Rodriguez
Roger Clemens
David Ortiz
Roy Halladay
Johan Santana
Vlad Guerrero
Albert Pujols
Ken Griffey Jr.
Barry Bonds
Randy Johnson

Only 10. Obviously there's guys on the fence like Cabrera and Peavy who will probably become superstars but aren't there yet.

LOL Derrick Lee was trying to kill that Padres pitcher today.

Zambrano was so fucking brilliant. I'm so pissed the Cubs couldnt manufacture atleast a run for this guy. That bare hander that came back to the mound that he snagged and through a guy out on was gross.

He's flat out nasty right now. The second time he's almost had a no hitter in i think like 3 or 4 games. Makes me sick that the Cubs and that new " amazing batting lineup " couldnt give the man 2 runs.

Yeah I read that career wise Carlos Z has his best pitching performances in June, but I say he keeps it up as its a contract year for him.

I know Zito got a 100 mil deal. But what about Gil Meche? He got a nice contract with KC and really didnt do much with the Mariners.
