When the opponent is down facing up, drag him by the legs to a corner with no steps. This will start a 'groin pull' on the post animation, which you have to flick down on the right stick to do. Simply hold down after the groin pull and you can ram their leg into the ring post.

If you didn't know about the 'groin pull', you can also drag the opponent by the head when hes facing down to the bottom rope, to choke him with it(complete with 5 count warning from the ref)

Yeah I'm a bit confused with RTW at the moment. They said there would be lots of choice and options for different out comes. All I've seen so far as far as choices are - DX or Evolution on HHHs story, or who to interogate on Jerichos. BTW, I chose to call out Orton at the end, does it make Kennedy the masked man if you call him out? Or does it always end up Orton? and I've done all the stories except for Cena's so far.

Got this shit today. According to the manual, only people with the submission specialist ability can submit someone without their submission not being a finisher or signature move.

I got the PS2 version today, and I am loving it so far. I played the hell out of it for 6 hours and have done the following:

Played through Jericho's RTW once
Made a CAW all the way through (Moves, Appearance, Entrance, Finishers)
Played one exhibition match
Started a career mode (one match through)
Created 2 Finishers

I am loving this game. It already had more playability than last year. I spent most of the first day playing with some friends in my dorm getting drunk and creating Dog The Bounty Hunter.

Finally got some time to play this and am really impressed so far. Just working my way through Jericho's RTW at the mo, its better than I thought it would be.

Need to get used to the controlls again after playing Impact but am picking them up again. Really like the addition of the signiture moves, makes it seem all the bit more realistic.

Especially when you think back the first god knows how many SD games, when you could start with 5 finishers or build them up. At least now its realistic and has a structure. Weak grapple > Strong grapple > Signature move > Finisher.

I don't see the point in signature moves. It's great but I have to get a finisher before storing it. I might as well hit them with the finisher instead.

Yeah, all indications I've read are that the "multiple branches and countless ways you can play through RTW" was typical bullshit they only said to try and appease fans complaining that there are only 6 choices for the mode.

That being said...really liking this game. Seems hella easy early on in Jericho's RTW (beat Jeff in all of 30 seconds in my first match), but it's fun. I REALLY like how the commentary is different each match to follow the story.

Also, it was probably posted ages ago, but have they done away with weight classes having an effect on the match? I was doing a Rumble and Carlito was throwing around BDV and Khali with ease. This isn't a bad thing tho, I remember in SVR07 people like Helms were useless because they couldn't even kick guys like Angle.

Just finished Jericho's RTW and started Punk's. Created a wrestler but is abit lame. Having looked around CAF, there doesn't seem to be as many options as I thought. Hopefully more will unlock as I unlock more moves.

From a gamer point of view, I see your point. But as a wrestling fan, its pretty cool to be able to build up to the end of the match, and only hit your finisher at the end.

Loving this game. I rented it yesterday, but only had a chance to play one exhibition match before I had to pick up my girlfriend from work. Today, though, I don't start work till 3:15 so I had hours to play around. Played through HHH's story, and had two save files going so now I can go back and make the other choice to see how it affects the outcome of RTW. The storylines are better written than anything on WWE TV right now, which is sad, but makes for a fun game.

I've only made 2 so far. 1st was a punch combo into a kind of reverse F5, and the 2nd was a poison mist into a tigerbomb(the hooked arms set up), into an elevated jacknife.

I have to admit, looking at the 'green man' animations on the creator screen, I was worried the CAFs would look to jerky. But I was happy to see that in actual gameplay they look nice and smooth.

There isn't really a huge amount of scope for creating stuff, but I still managed to create 3 out of the 4 "fantasy finishers" I've always wanted to give my CAWs, but that weren't really possible in previous games.

I would have managed the fourth one as well, but couldn't create a brilliant looking transition between the rotating Samoan Drop clutch to a DDT.

If you choose Kennedy, it makes both Orton and Kennedy the masked man and makes the main event at Wrestlemania a 4-way


As for other choices

SPOILER: show
You can turn on Rey or Batista in their storyline when they get the shot at the title

You can pick Santino or Finlay in the ladder match for Undertaker and whoever you pick will be posessed

Its so sad but my favorite thing in this game so far is the ref animation when you accidently just brush him a bit..

That's an awesome Kozlov CAW. Though admittedly, I'm a bit hesitant to make big complicated CAWs cause DLC could very well come out for Kozlov.
