Damn, this is not looking good. I don't even remember the last time Detroit was tied in a playoff series. We desperately need to win Thursday at home or this will be pretty well over.

According to Chris Sheridan at ESPN, the front runner that would land Kobe would be the Knicks.
Have fun with Starbury, the Franchise and anyone else the Knicks will have to give up. How do you feel about that one sammy

Yah i saw that too. Laughed a little. Reggie does it much more smoother. I actually thought Prince was getting hacked all night with no calls. Pretty insane. But ultimately Billups chocked that game away down the stretch. The Pistons still could have won. I'm suprised they didnt put Flip Murray in as bad as Billups was playing. That pull up 3 to try and draw contact with like 2 minutes left in a 2 possession game was absolutely brutal. He should have been yanked right there lol. |

Yeah I agree. In all though, I thought that was the only bad decision he made all night.
You wanna know why they are losing. Look at the assists of Billups. When they are high, they win. When they are low, they lose. He is not dishing the ball enough |

Based on nothing, I would assume the potential suitors for Kobe would be big markets and probably in the east. I would say New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston, maybe.
That said, SportsCenter just had a quote of Kobe saying he wants to stay on a radio station. |

Kobe Bryant will be a member of the Los Angeles Lakers next year. Starting to think that this is all a big ploy to get Jerry West back in LA. He doesn't want to be traded that bad. He's pissed, he's frustrated, and I can't blame him one bit. But he'll settle down. I hope. Even if Kobe wins, no doubt about it, I'll still be a Lakers fan. This day has been really, really scary. There is no way the Lakers could get equal value for Kobe. The dude is 29, mad experience, best player in the world. The only equal value I could imagine would either be Wade or Lebron, and we all know that's not gonna happen.

I got a trade from ESPN's trade machine u might like
Deal No. 1: Phoenix trades Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, Marcus Banks and the rights to Atlanta's 2008 first-rounder to the Lakers for Kobe and Radmanovic. |

It wouldn't make any sense for the Suns to make that trade. Marion is a top 10 player in the league and key to what they do. The Suns don't need a high profile shooting guard, any random guy they put in there can be a near all star.
I also don't think Kobe will be traded. It just doesn't make sense. In reality, I don't think the Lakers have done a bad job personnel-wise. I guess trading Caron Butler was a big deal since he was Kobe's best friend, but there was no reason to have him on that team. Then the other issue was that the Lakers missed out on Jason Kidd and Ron Artest. First, the Lakers need is a dominant post player, not a pass-first point guard. Second, Ron Artest at this point is only a slight upgrade from Lamar Odom. Neither would have driven the Lakers to the finals. The Lakers have done a good job, in my opinion, with Bynum and Kwame. Both players are young with good potential and are exactly what they need. Getting guys like that is a lot better than signing free agents like Jamal Magliore or something. It takes time to build a good NBA team and it is near impossible to land a free agent big man the caliber they need. |

Congrats Ninti, good luck in the finals. As far as the Lakers/Kobe situation goes, I just dunno man. We had chances to get Artest, boozer, kidd. we just wouldnt give up fucking andrew bynum. I pray to god we can get KG. I guess Buss said today that the plan has been changed. We wanna win now. The previous plan was a long-term plan, or whatever, some bullshit like that. Kobe has woken people up. Thank you Kobe.

What do people think the Lakers have that would interest the Timberwolves in trading the only player who sells seats in Minnesota? Just because the Wolves are bad doesn't mean they are going to trade the franchise player. They have nothing else going for them.

Not suprised at all that Billy Donovan went to the Magic. He already won 2 in a row with Florida and next years team was going to be really young and inexprienced and it seemed he was ready for a bigger challenge.

also lol@Jim O'Brien. He did bring the Celtics to the playoffs 2 years in a row, and in the process had his team shoot the most 3's in the history of the NBA during one season

I like it. I like Jim O'Brien. Considering what he did with Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce, he should be a nice fit. There wasnt many other coaching canidates out there. We werent getting Donovan cause he was leaving Florida unless the pro job was somewhere in Florida. Stan Vangundy isnt that great of a coach. Still very unproven. I wasnt really sold on Sam Mitchell Gambling with a fresh face like Mark Jackson or someone would be way to risky with the state that the franchise is in. Seems like a good sign. |

If the Cavs advance, the Spurs will sweep them. If the Pistons advance, the Spurs will win in 5. Makes no difference. San Antonio will win it all.

That shit was just unbelievable last night. Of course I wanted the Pistons to win, but you gotta give credit where its due to Mr. James. He basically won that game 5 on 1, and that is unheard of. But I'm sure San Antonio are just licking their chops on this one regardless of who makes it. They win 4 out of 5 games, yet these teams are going into double overtimes in only their game 5.

O'Brien is consisent as hes had playoff trips with Boston and Philly and both teams have not done anything since he was fired. Reggie Miller questioned the O'Brien hire however.

You're right though, O'Brien was a much better coach then Rivers. While the Celtics had no shot of winning the finals while he was here, they where at least exciting to watch. Now they are garbage and have been rebuilding for about 20 years straight now |

Plus its probably pretty easy to lead the league in 3 point attempts when you have Toine hoisting them up from half court and on fast breaks every time he touches the ball.
