Yes, Its a shitty sniper though. Which is balanced out by the fact that if your not a skilled sniper, your not completely fucked at close range.

You can always tell if you are close to someone because 90% of the people use radar jam.

I stretched out Campaign as long as possible and finally finished it up today. Fucking awesome.

Even though I could sorta sense a Shepherd heel turn, I didn't think the last mission would involve you mowing through the US Army. Nice twist. Makarov still being alive likely means he'll be there for MW3

Started playing online. As always, I'm terrible. I move around when I shoot out of habit...something I'm not good at. Definitely can't just stand there and shoot cause since I'm only starting everyone has far superior weapons.

Weapons don't really have a huge amount to do with it - the starter weapons aren't that bad really and it doesn't take long to get stuff like grenade launchers and red dot sights.

Helps when you begin to get more familiar with the layout of the maps as well.

The starter weapons are okay, just feel as though it takes me ages to get a kill yet I often die in one/two shots. Usually wind up just picking up the weapons of people I kill.

is anyone bothered a bit that kids are playing a game shooting civilian's of the russian federation as well as doing house to house combat in the united states, as well as delta-force type special-op missions in city's like Rio (where the insurgents are just fucking people who live there and are scared shitless I belive)

Remember, the weapons are only deadly in the hands of people who know how to use them and where to go in using them.

I've always agreed with that, and always thought people who took all their time to bitch about GTA and Mortal Combat were idiots, still do.

but there's something different about this game...I've never been bothered, I guess the civilian thing bothered me (I thought it was fun)...

I don't think kids will take an AK-47 and attack an airport, I just have a problem with the desensitization of these kids.

No not bothered since in the end every console generation has people worrying too much about what kids should or shouldn't be playing and less on parents being responsible for what is being played by their children. Every generation has people saying games are too realistic in appearance or themes and its going to happen again next generation when graphics or controllers improve (ex. Godfather on the Wii mimics strangling someone when you make the strangling motion).

Its partially based on the stereotype of games as a child's form of entertainment and how most adults online act like kids (mostly in mic supported games).

I mean, lets face it, every year kids are getting dumber and dumber (talk to anyone who works at a school, I'm sure someone here does, they do damn arts and grafts all day)

I have been using the barret to this effect and have been annoying the piss out of some people by being rather accurate in hip firing it.

lol threw a Semtex grenade out a window, aiming for the doorway of a room another guy was sniping (he didn't have a view of me, I was in a building to the side of him)

My throw was hella short but an opponent happened to be walking by and it stuck.

Also not too bad at throwing the knife

ACR is easily my favourite gun in the game. People bitch about it being weak, but with accuracy like that it doesn't need to be strong, because every shot is gonna land.

We are playing the same game I assume, but unless I catch the other person off guard I usually get owned by them, for some reason nearly every gun seems to fire and kill faster then a silenced ACR.

Hell, I have had dual models miss, reload and still get me while the guy was strafing and I was shooting him with the ACR, no idea what makes the silenced ACR so terrible.

I waste dudes with my silenced ACR. It's almost my go-2 weapon. Silenced ACR with Marathon/Cold-Blooded/Ninja and Tactical Insertion saved games. In fact, all of my classes have Tactical Insertion, and I don't miss grenades either (they just don't work for me).

Nah I think they're overrated (grenades.) The only time they're useful is maybe throwing one in the window of a building from the ground or when you get a few enemies in small group, which is rare.
