WWE 13 is £19.99 at Game in the UK at the moment. Dragged my feet about getting it since its release. DEFINITELY gonna get it now. And I don't have to feel too bad if it ends up shit for that price.

Yeah I don't get that either and she was the one that won her season of nXt then again they didn't include Curtis either which a damn shame.

She didn't get a push until well after the unofficial WM cut off. Divas were a little lean this year too probably could have used her.

Since Team Sheep just made me aware of the insane price drop, and the fact that I'm still in the UK for a couple of days

Before I pick it up a few questions

-Is the server still absolute shit (d/c every-time you search a CAW, etc)
-How "free" is universe mode in a general scale (e.g. full CAW immersion etc)
-Any ridiculously annoying things I should know about

I was planning on skipping WWE '13 and waiting for next year's game, if anyone can give me any solid reasons for not doing this, or sticking to this, I'd appreciate it

I don't play online so maybe someone else can put in their two cents about that. Yet to put a CAW through universe, slowly trying to make it through year one. They fixed some things like being able to edit an entire card before you start it, vacate title options, easy roster edits and all that but the general flow is about the same as last year. Cut scenes have been few and far between.

Attitude era mode is pretty sweet. You should play through that.

I have a feeling universe will be the focus next year since attitude was this year. Just a guess.

Just picked this up last night and I am highly impressed.

I have only done a few parts of Attitude Era thus far, but the gameplay is amazing. I didn't buy 12 for good reason, but glad I picked up this one. The way the models move, make contact and even SELL is better than any previous WWE game I have played.

Wrestling nerd question about something I noticed though......

Did HHH (as Hunter Hearst Helmsley) actually use the music that Sandow uses now? I always remembered some weird piano/keyboard hybrid classical sounding music...

He used two themes. That's not Sandow's theme though. Hunter had Symphony #9. Sandow uses Hallelujah Symphony.

Indeed. If I have to give it some cons, the character models are at the top of the list. I remember better looking models, especially HHH, back on the PS2.

Just played through the HIAC with HBK vs Taker, followed by the Montreal Screwjob. Awesome how they use actual audio from back in the day.

My first complaint about it though..... they were still the "WWF" back then and everytime F or Federation is mentioned, they block the audio..... so it sounds like shite. Hell, they call the belt the WWE belt back then, why couldn't they do a wee bit of editing?

Still loving the entire presentation of the Attitude Era though, good fun!

I got my copy on the Black Friday pre-sale thing at Wal-Mart. Got WWE '13 and Borderlands 2, each for $25.

Anyway...

I wanna start a new tag team/stable with my CaW and CM Punk. I try to do it in Universe mode, but my CaW isn't an option, not only for Punk, but for anyone to tag with. How can I change this? I remember in WWE '12, all you had to do was put the two you wanted in a stable in a few tag matches and do a few tag moves, and you'd get the message that they can now be a tag team.

Edit: Nvm...apparantley I can select him now...weird.

lol, having a four way TLC and Ziggler is standing at the top of the ladder in the ring, someone kicks it, and even though the ladder doesnt budge Ziggler falls off the ladder all the way to the far corner of ringside. So a typical Ziggler oversell.

Probably the best wwe game they have put out,the matches me and my mate have been having have been well worth the money
but if THQ have gone bust who's likely to pick the series up?

If the rumors are true, it would be Ubisoft although EA would probably be a better and more likely fit. Heard speculation Activision could be interested but unless they bought Yukes, none of the studios they own have any real experience with fighting/wrestling games.

Got the game for Xmas, first match on it (Punk vs Austin) and my girlfriend - who knows very little about wrestling - remarks how Punk's model "looks nothing like him" which tells you all you need to know about the models this year.

Pretty enjoyable so far, even if I can't beat Bulldog with all the historical objectives complete :\

A lot of the models are dire, they seem to be every year, a lot of the caws look better than the actual in game characters, don't think hbk has ever looked right in any game though ever. Or Austin.
