No. Because when the Vikings do win it will be the sweetest sensation ever.

Totally. Only a complete cunt switches to a team because they win.

I LOL at all those people who are now Pats fans etc - where were you when you were 1-15? Or Packer fans before Favre, or Saints* fans. Or where did all those 'life long' Rams fans go when the Rams started to suck? Or Cowboy and Redskins fans (big in the 1980s and 1990s).

You have your team and you stick with them through thick and thin. Fans of teams like the Browns, the Vikings, the Bills all have their stories of heartbreak - the Fumble, Darrin Nelson/Gary Anderson/cheating Saints*, Scott Norwood.

I switched teams in 1996. I used to be a redskins fan. I decided I couldn't be a fan of two teams.

Good luck with that. They're the only team thats made it to a super bowl (not once, not twice..four times) and never held the lead at some point during each of the games.

Without being rude. I am not some glib fanboy who jumps on a bandwagon when a team is winning.

I've been supporting them for 27 years so I am well aware of the teams history.

I cheered for the Vikings briefly when Favre went over there as heel Favre.

I was disgusted with a lot of the Packer fan base turning on him after all he did for us

Never could bring myself to cheer for Favre. It always felt dirty.

Shame she isn't around anymore but Seyda was always a Packers fan back in the day, as was her brother.

I loved him in all forms, especially Brett the Jet. Personally, football seems to have lost something without him, I don't know what though. He was fun and crazy and the most exciting guy to watch this side of Jake Plummer. Seems like all players take themselves way too seriously now, or the coverage is super serious. Only a few years but whatever

Probably gets used just for 3rd down or goal line situations since he's their heaviest RB out of the core they have right now. Ridley and Vereen are still the primary duo for games.

Would you rather be "Mr. Irrelevant" or go undrafted and take your chances as an undrafted FA?

I think it depends on where you end up.

That said, quite a few picks have made decent careers. It's not like the old days when there were 12 rounds and someone picked would be a real training camp body.

Plus any Mr Irrelevant can't beat the 1991 selection of Larry Wanke, unless there is a Dave Cockstroker out there waiting to be picked.

Golic was saying it's better to go undrafted and be a "priority free agant" than to go super later..

DSoesn't matter though cause guys can have success either way..

e.g. Marques Colston, super late draft pick, and Pierre Thomas, undrafted free agent

Undrafted is probably preferable at that point. With 90 man pre-season rosters, usually any undrafted rookie worth a shit can find their way into a camp. In some cases guys who barely miss the draft cut have multiple teams calling them immediately to offer them deals, so you can pick the team where you figure to have the best chance of making the Opening Day 53.

I like the Barkley pick.

I think Vick is done, and I'm not really sold on Foles. He played ok this year.

I think Barkley is a good move.

Giants take UMass RB Michael Cox with the second to last pick in the draft. Worst spot to be picked. Misses the chance to pick his own situation in free agency, and misses a free trip to Newport Beach as Mr. Irrelevant.

I watched the Bray QB Camp with Gruden. I would not want that guy on my team. He seemed clueless at times just going over the tape of his own games.

yah, they start getting calls around the 5th/6th rounds from teams trying to lock them down if they don't get drafted. Was "documented" pretty heavily with Aaron Morgan and Alfonso Smith in Late Rounders, there are a couple of other draft based documentaries from the last couple of years as well

Saints pick up Ryan Griffin. Sucks that he went to the 'Aints, but happy for my Tulane brethren.

Like Sean Renfree as a back up to Matty Ice.

Lawrence Okoye signs with the 49ers.

Unless the Niners were his only offer I dunno why any undrafted free agent would want to sign there. They're so stacked you can basically only hope for the practice squad.

yah they're pretty good for the most part, I mean they're not Hard Knocks but they're definitely interesting. Two Days in April and Late Rounders are the best ones, the 30 for 30 one with Jacquain Williams and 4th and Goal aren't bad either.

I'm still a fan of the Cowboys, I just have a cake on custom order ready to be made as soon as Jerry Jones dies.

When Jerry Jones dies (or cuts Romo), Texas will look like the UK after Thatcher died.

Nothing says America's Team like taking a 3rd round center with the 31st pick...

I kid. The NFL would be that much better if the Cowboys were the juggernauts of old. When I think dynasty Aikman, Smith, Irvin and Deion pop into my head.

But how many of those fans from that era were around in the dog-days of the Landry era?

The NFL seems to get on fine without the Cowboys, Raiders etc being any good. The media always find a way to hype things to the sky anyway.

I agree 100% that the NFL doesn't need either of those teams to be good. It was really just nostalgia for me since my first real memory as an NFL fan was at 8 years old driving to downtown Atlanta with my family and seeing all the hype surrounding that Cowboys/ Bills Superbowl.

However, the crowd reactions those two teams drew when it was their turn to pick still shows they resonate, whether you love them or love to hate them and teams like that are always good for the league.

Ironically, who'd want to see the Bills - Cowboys these days?

Here's the thing - 20 years ago - a Pats -Packers game would be the last game anyone would want to watch. These days it'd be the most hyped game of the season (or near enough).

These days - no one would be rushing home to watch the Raiders take on Miami. Go back to the 1970s or 1980s and it would be one of the biggest games of the season.

NFC East teams will always get more media coverage than others because of the East coast bias of the media. So no matter how bad the Giants, Cowboys, Skins or Eagles are, there will always be a ton of media hype about those games. (Far more than say a Lions - Bears game, or a Chargers - Chiefs game). 3-4 Eagles vs 3-4 Cowboys will get more attention than say 6-1 Chiefs taking on 5-2 Chargers.

The media will always find hype to generate - either some meaningless record, or some players jock that they want to spend the season sniffing.

Droford is riding the high of his team winning the title. He deserves to be a dick until his shitty team kicks off the season of disappointment.

It's highly appropriate that a Ravens fan should be a bandwagon jumper with no sense of loyalty.
